Yep , & Jim Harbaugh should have been brought to Halas Hall for an extended interview. Management here though does not want strong personalities especially experienced in the ways of the NFL. No they want yes men as Head Coaches to kiss the ring of clueless George McCaskey who meddles in the football decisions like he knows what the hell he is doing ! Hiring the GM Poles then one year later hiring CEO Warren. Having an outside consortium pick Poles & Eberflus. What could possibly go wrong. Any former Bears player is treated like a flaming bag of dog droppings on their door steps. Incredible how F'ed up the Chicago Bears have become.

2:54 many great players that have played in Bears uniforms have said this same thing. and this is really sad. Bears owners are to blame for most of this nonsense, from my pov. They do things that either make this look like a team not worth coming to, or things that prevent the team from succeeding. People keep talking about Ben Johnson, but good OC doesnt mean great HC. the Bears needs a no nonsense HC that has HC experience and respect from players that he's coached. If not, i feel like all of our best players, including Caleb, will be in another uniform within the next 3 years

7 out of 32 head coaches had previous HC experience. Only 3 of them are a lock for playoffs and 2 are almost sure to be fired. Stop It with we need a HC with experience. JJ definitely did the right thing especially with coach who held a player accountable for their mistakes but will not hold himself accountable for his mistakes. Honestly, I hope Thomas Brown is the next HC. Just listening to his press conferences you see it in him. No nonsense attitude, no corny sayings or acronyms. Just a very humble straightforward and from the heart type of dude. He definitely reminds of a young Mike Tomlin. I credit Ryan Poles for doing the right thing. It took a little longer than I expected but he did it. Just get the next HC right cause they do have a really good team. On the verge of something special for a long time.

I believe poles called Jaylon first because he was afraid that Jaylon might open up about him. Because he haggled with Jaylon about his contract even though he saw Jaylon play as good as any pro bowl player at his position. So poles calls him to show respect to Jaylon to calm Jaylon not to say anything about the gm.
@StewMain616 сағат бұрын
Jaylon’s contract was acceptable. It was Jaylon’s first healthy season and only one close to the probowl level that he played (mostly due to injury). His contract speaks to that imo. Is he worth more at full health? Absolutely but that’s that built in risk. I think Poles opted for lower overall pay but higher guaranteed pay. Guaranteed pay is more telling on how important you are seen as a player than the overall amount as “at the end of the day”, a team will cut you when that guarantee pay gets low enough and you don’t produce

I see too many people in the comments who seem confused about the "race" question. I'm in my late 30s and have seen a lot of positive changes in the NFL. Some of us forget less than 10-15 years ago there was huge stigma regarding black coaches, black quarterbacks, and black leadership. So the NFL has come a long way and it's important to realize that. My entire family is from Chicago and soon as we got word that Eberflus was fired and Thomas Brown was in, the first thing my brothers mentioned was that the Bears have a predominantly black organization. Ultimately, winning is the only thing that matters, but representation is still important. In my own career I've worked for a lot of companies that are majority white, and its always refreshing to see someone else from your background. At the end of the day, representation matters.
