Tbh I actually liked Callie and Marie doing the news and would actually read the text quite a bit but then they started doing Off the Hook and one exchange between Pearl and Marina per mode and then now it's skippable but for those who would like to see more dialogue from deepcut they get I think a single interaction? I wish they would give us more in the news if it's already skippable, personally. And I want more Squid Sisters

The Super Chump was a little underwhelming at first, but I'm actually liking it so far. Forcing the other team to move out of their hiding spots, back away from mid, and spend time attacking the decoys instead of fighting your team/focusing on the objective is pretty useful. It temporarily controls an area and creates a diversion, which is a lot more valuable than people give it credit for.

The new special is called multi leurre in french, which translate to multi lure. And that's how you use it, the bomb arent the most important part of the special, its the fake super jumps that are important ! This special is good when you want to super jump safely in a zone or for your team to go in

I've been using the Super Chump as a diversion or a way of cover, and it was more effective on Anarchy modes Rainmaker and Clam Blitz (not so much on Tower Control or Splat Zones). Just a way to distract enemies before going in for the kill :D

It makes sense they didn't implement a new news sequence as it'd probably be a pretty big time sink (new intro sequence, animations, script, etc) when there are better and more vital things to focus on (balance changes, map changes, Big Run, the new Salmon Run mode, Side Order, etc). It's a bit of a disappointment but given how much time they had to make it I'm overall satisfied.

you want to go in with the super chump, it's pretty much useless as a missiles/tri strike replacement, but for fighting up close it can be a great advantage because of the distraction it provides, and that's emphasized by how it's deployable and launches super fast

10:19 actually, an octo kraken model did exist in splatoon 1's files. This led data miners to believe that octolings were going to be playble in splatoon 1 and that it just didn't happen for unknown reasons. There are a few other things in splatoon 1's files that shows that octolings could have been playable, like octoling models having fully functional eyes despite the goggles

Splat1 actually did have octo krakens! If you hacked the game to play as an octoling, the kraken model was the same as the inklings except their tentacles curled upwards (like the enemy octoling’s swim form)
