It's easier when you had a healthy relationship with your father/mother/family. For us people struggling all our life with our relationships, we really don't know what to look for, and creating a relationship actually needs effort. Struggling with mental health and stuff makes it hard to find a "soulmate", you're never sure because you didn't have the emotional support... Most of the comments are about their perfect looks and awesome compatibility, but no one really noticed how much work they put into their relationship over the years, which they have actually discussed at length! Their relationship is perfect because they work on it every day! That is what has inspired me as well as frightened me actually, that two people so perfect for each other need to work so hard to have the perfect bond. Imagine what us normal people with 10 times more flaws will have to do to maintain a health relationship! I don't think I'm capable of putting in so much effort!

Unfortunately, speaking from my past and present experiences, it's not that simple. It's not easy when you put all that effort in a relationship, and for some reason or the other, it doesn't work out and you have to start all over again with someone else!! It's exhausting! At some point you just lose the motivation to put in any effort at all, and that's not fair on your partner. But at the same time you don't want to die alone! So you try your best but it's never enough. Perhaps, sometimes, you just have to accept that some wreckages cannot be salvaged and go on with your life as best as you can.
