I know there are many places in the UK that are rough needs work etc but you always find salt of the earth people. Unsure what Bens motives are going to places being quite condescending at times. Saying he’s going because of a list of rubbish places seeing how rubbish they are. I really like Ben as well as Mr Bald but this narrative if visit g so called crap places is not to my liking . I won’t be watching any more. After seeing this & the previous one in Luton. No matter how much they rubbish these places names the people they spoke to were so lovely. I wish they would be more positive vlogs about our country. All my own opinions. Others may disagree. But I won’t be following both of these any more.

Liked the video and banter. Regarding Jaywick, everywhere has its problems. We live in Torbay and it has many, many issues. We are also moving back to Jaywick as it has real community spirit you find in very few places. It has a regeneration fund, it has volunteers helping to tackle fly tipping, and it has a mural trail helping to brighten up the area. But to me the community is what shines the most and we are looking forward to moving back. Home is where the heart is.

I went to Clacton a few years ago and recall driving along the sea front to find a parking space. I spotted a large pub with a board stating "Sunday Roasts" and parked in the car park and went inside with my family to order. The barman ignored me for a few minutes whilst he finished a converation with a regular, and eventually bluntly asked what I wanted. I enquired about the "Sunday Roasts" and he replied they haven't done them for months, without any apologies. I mentioned the advertising board outside and he repeated that they haven't done them for months. If this attitude is anything to go by, it probably is why Clacton no longer attracts visitors, which in turn means they can't afford to spend some money once in a while to make it more attractive. It used to be a well kept place decades ago. I don't get why so many Brits in hospitality are so lacking in manners ? Is it too much to train them to smile at customers and say " good morning, how can I help ?"

Brilliant video Ben , both hilarious and harrowing at the same time.As a kid in the 60s , day trips to Clacton by coach were much looked forward to , parents wore their best clothes , ties etc, and then we grew up and became motorised , a small group of us would ride to Jaywick on our motorbikes and hire a chalet for a weeks wage for one of us and have a great time and the sun seemed to always shine .So sad to see it like this , yet I feel one day it will turn around , there is such an opportunity here .Great you found some wonderful characters and my respect to all 3 of you for some five star content over the last year.

I grew up poor in the UK. The difference back then was that even the poorest people had some pride. Women (married women mostly didn't work outside the home back then) would be outside swilling the flags, scrubbing and stoning the doorstep and making sure their net curtains were sparkling clean. They would certainly be judged by their neighbours if all this wasn't done? It breaks my heart to see what's happened to Britain. Okay, we can blame the government, etc., etc., but what are the PEOPLE doing about the situation? I know it's not that simple but surely something can be done?
