For anyone shopping for this case today, there are a couple things different now compared to the one Jay has. First, the mesh holes have been modified to allow more airflow and second, the drive cage is removable with 4 Phillips screws.

@mozametweakin
@mozametweakin Жыл бұрын
@@-offline If it isn't too late, I'd say to look at the pictures if there is one of the back that shows the drive cage. You can see in the video at 8:34 that the screws in the cage aren't removable by phillips, so look at the pictures to see if there are 4 phillips. Keep in mind this is assuming the picture is updated too. Also, if it matters that much to you, than you could ship it back if there is a warranty on it (Also I think that they made the changes a long time ago, so the one that you get would have to be pretty dang old to get the older version one)

"There's no perfect case out there so far" - it would be super cool to see a Jay collab case one day. Nothing is ever perfect, but seeing what would get the closest to the ideal dream case as a long-term builder with all the cases you've seen and done, and as a familiar KZbinr would just be so cool to see. A video series on the project throughout, with input into what most cases get wrong, and esp what you'd prefer personally build-wise. Seeing the Jay dream case fully realised, and coming to life!

I use an 011 Dynamic (with a 3090 and i9-9900k w/280mm AIO) in the living room and it is fantastic. The worst part is the SFX / SFX-L PSU requirement, which really limits your options. Running the O11 Mini standard, with the window in the front. Air cooled with a ATX B450-F MSI board, 2600X, 5700XT, 32gb 3200 DDR4 (running 2800 because the board can't handle 3200 w/ 32gb). AMD Wraith Prism on the CPU, 3 Unifan 120s on the bottom for intake, 3 Unifan 120s on top for exhaust, and 2 Unifan 140s on the side doing intake as well. It's quiet and cool. It's not the airflow case, but it still gets plenty and I can't really think of any drawbacks, other than requiring a SFF PSU. The standard O11Mini has the PSU on top with the HDD cage on bottom, the reverse of what yours has.

I'm using the non air one, and it's was a blast to build in. Everything is accessible. One takeaway the case industry needs to follow from this is the modular back panel. It's a great feature that negates the radiator spacing problems. 360 aio fits just nice, and I have 3 120 fans at the bottom.

I nearly bought the Mini instead of the XL when the regular O11 was sold out. I really wanted to fit a 360 AIO, and plan to have a custom loop with two 360 rads in the future, however. Since the XL was basically the same price at the time, my decision was easy. I think Lian-Li should be using the SL120 fans in their cases. Those things are awesome. I replaced all the fans that came with my Cooler Master 360 AIO and the 3 case fans with them and they are so quiet! Even at max RPM, their sound is comfortable just a foot a way from me! Between the O11 cases and their Desk cases, Lian-Li is really pushing for a change in the case market. Big props to them.

PLEASE CHECK OUT MORE OF THESE BIG-SMALL CASES! Yea, those $300 ultra compact SFF cases are cool and all, but they're also pretty unrealistic for most of us in price, availability, and design(there can be some trial & error with different parts to figure out exactly the right combo for your needs in one of those tiny cases; not just anything will hold the Asus mini-DTX board for example, nevermind GPU sizes). And, frankly, while many of us are interested in these sub-mid tower cases, most of us don't actually NEED the "smallest footprint we can get", we just may not be interested in taking up as much space as mid tower & larger cases do. I LOVE my InWin 303(in white!), love its layout, love most everything about it... but she's a pretty big girl too! I don't need a $500 billet CNC machined(aka, designed & manufactured in a needlessly expensive fashion to justify giving it a big price tag...), hand built, "1 of xxx" postage stamp sized case - I would just like to have something a little smaller than my 303. Like these mini-towers, or like the Phanteks Evolv Shift/X, NZXT's H210, Fractal's Node series, etc. DO care about price(and support for that matter), DON'T care about "cubic displacement"(or the SFF elitism that hates on "not true SFF" cases like these). And, personally, DO care about interesting hardware layouts too.

I got this for my first build, and so far I'm pleased. Not done any multi hour stress tests but just in ordinary use a 280mm AIO and single rear fan appears to be sufficient for a 7700X and 7900XT combo. If I had some feedback: - awkward to work out the ordering and direction of fan holders for AIO mounting, could do with a page in the instructions - can only front mount AIO in full ATX mode, obviously done to save height - front panel power button/LED connections are REALLY SMALL and could do with being a single unit like the audio - front power/led cable would also benefit from at least an inch/few cm extra length - included fans seem to only attach to rails using fan holders, but fan holders get taken up with AIO mounting, so now I have two useless 140mm fans (unless anyone can tell me I've been an idiot and how to mount the fans without the holders)

I bought the original 011 D Mini when it first came out. My son has the full sized 011 D. I really like the smaller size of the mini as it fits on the desk without overwhelming it. However, I wished they had kept the usb ports and power button on the front, on top they are inconvenient to use with the computer on a desk. I recently added a custom loop. ATX mb, 2- 240 rads, cpu and gpu blocks. Yeah it is kind of tight getting everything to fit. (I now understand why it takes you so long to finish some builds. I kept running into problems and kept ordering more fittings to solve. Added a month to the build time.) What surprises me the most is how different the 011 D Mini Air case is from the original 011 D Mini, while looking the same. Now takes an ATX ps vs SFX ps on original. The back was convertible based on the mb size, now it comes one size fits all. I could fit a 360 rad on the bottom vs you say it won't fit.

Individual front fan mounts would be good just to remove anything extra if you did decide to only put a single front fan. Still able to accommodate 120/140/240/280 rads, in either position, with less to see if you go single fan

Do a 4 rad build in this case! But either way, I hate that they made the "mini" bigger than the previous one. I was honestly hoping for smaller. Kinda wish they'd do a o11d / tu150 kinda cross over. Mini ITX only o11d. (albeit a big case I guess, but smaller than this)

They cut a lot of corners with the air version, I have the 011 mini mysels, but its the regular version with the tempered glass, it did come with a SFX PSU adapter, and that cage can be removed. I went with the RoG Crosshair VIII Impact, 5950x, and Sapphire Nitro Plus 6900xt with my build, and despite the tempered glass panel, this case has some of the best airflow Ive seen in a case. but Im also running 11 fans in it, (7 intake, 4 exhaust)

I did 360/360/280 S-ATX in one of these. Had to deshroud mobo I/O and use custom 90° EPS cables. If you plan on doing triple rad S-ATX be sure to order a 3rd party case specific offset bracket. Complete build weighs 47.4lbs.

drive cage on the original mini isn't riveted and it only can hold an sfx power supply, that 2.5 inch drive bracket is screwed on the bottom in the original too. original doesn't come with that 2.5/3.5 mount plate in the front though.

The non-air mini allows for a top and bottom 360 due to not having those front fans stick that far back. Could also do a 280 on the side so a total of a 1000 mm rad cooling?

Yeah Jay if you could maybe mention that if you watercool a 3090 with an EK water block you'll need a riser to fit the card in the case? I went and bought the normal size Dynamic after watching your video and had to leave the glass panel off because the bit of the GPU water block where the tubes go in protrudes out of the case's profile and you can't close it properly.

Hey Jay, I picked up the standard O11-mini the day it became available. Currently running an Asus ROG Zenith II Extreme sporting a 3960X with 64gb of 3200 ram. The interesting part is I have a XSPC TX360 Ultrathin Radiator mounted to the top with 3 NF-A12 x 25s exhausting with a 240mm Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 X-Flow also exhausting out the side. There are 3 NF-A12x15s as uplift fans at the bottom pulling air in. With all of that I still have a 3070 FE vertically mounted using the Phanteks GPU Bracket sporting the EK-Quantum Vector FE block and an EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 240 DDC pump res combo. Wish I could add images because man, this setup fills the case.

Hey, as i just finished building in this case can add thing or two ;) mistake i did ;] number 1. too big cpu cooler can interfere with gpu mounted verticly - droping vertical mount kit in lower position will leave open sapce at back of case, top space and vertical mounting kit plate CAN block some ports on full atx motherboard as it takes full hight of case. number 2. demount back fan before building. fan can block on side of case while ur trying to change layout and its annoying as hell Case itself is great looking, was pleasure to work with and i think i will change layout couple of times before switching to something difrent

Lian Li is nice. if you're going for space saving and don't mind mATX the Corsair 280x is actually alright with non-"K" chips 4-5 fans. anything 65w is fine. especially when you get an AIO and/or two 140mm fans in the top and also cable manage the 5th fan into the cable compartment. there is a similar cheap Rosewill case called the Cullinan PX, but is always out of stock and has GPU width issues. SSUPD Meshlicious is a good one, if you don't mind looking for parts like SFS PSUs. Thermaltake 100 looks interesting...

I have this case in the original front glass version and I’m running a top mounted 360mm radiator, a 54mm thick one with fans below it and it just barely fits, but a normal rad would be fine, or if I dropped down to only having 3 slots available for my build, but that looks a little off to me.

Jay the case is not out yet, Lian Li delayed its launch due to front panel mesh hole size. the O11 dynamic mini on the other hand has been out for a long time, but unfortunately it cannot use standard ATX PSU only SFX or SFX-L (big no-no for me). Instead of waiting I chose to take the white O11 Dynamic (regular version) and replaced the front panel with perforated after-market one from ColdZero.

The non air case is the one I purchased and I can see at least in my opinion was designed a bit better, although it does not fit a full atx power supply. the power supply and drive caddys are switched, which means you can remove the power supply to service the back of the board instead of removing the entire board which to me seems a bit ridiculous.
