I hate it when the Tube runs on 4k on my 1200p. It lags, takes ages to buffer and ff/rew-ing just makes it suffocate instantly. And that on 100MBit/s from ISP. Why are Google's devs too dumb/lazy/ignorant to implement a general option that you simply have to set up once and for all? Or detect screen dimensions and select accordingly? 60fps is also something that nobody really needs. It's not a game where you need every ms for reaction purposes and you'd be dealing with input latency. Just draws bandwidth unnecessarily.

3:13 This is also great advice for chemists, as an undergrad chemist, we do lots of extractions and vacuum filtrations with knobs just like these to control the flow of fluids, it never occurred to me that a drain valve would be the same, however, at the same time it makes perfect sense.

Best tip for water cooling if you want to go aio, but might want to go custom later. Get an Alphacool eisbear. They are made with g1/4 fittings, a standard soft tubing size I believe 10mm/13mm, and you can get a gpu block that you disconnect the quick disconnect in the tube and connect the card using the quick disconnect on the card and off the cpu and rad.
@dieselpub2
@dieselpub2 3 жыл бұрын
I use double tubing as fill in. A 13/16 tube, with a small 6/8 tube inside, that og down all the way inside the reservoir. I fill in the reservoir using the small 6 mm tube, and the air goes out between the 2 tubes. It's a bit slower to fill in, because the 6 mm is small, but it's a good option if you d'ont have the possibility to have a air going out of the loop elsewhere.

As someone with many years of experience building water cooled systems, my best tip for maintenance is don't wait too long to clean your system (I've seen some people who have never even cleaned theirs, water cooling isn't for you if you can't maintain it properly) . I deep clean maybe once a year (take EVERYTHING apart for a deep cleaning, then run mayhems blitz afterwards) and it really does extend the life of everything.
@IyeViking
@IyeViking 3 жыл бұрын
How do you like deep clean things? Just flush it out with water / water and soap?
@NASAFanboy
@NASAFanboy 3 жыл бұрын
@@IyeViking Usually I wouldn't recommend taking things apart as it can be risky if you're newer, but I try to go for areas where residue can buildup and clean it with warm water and maybe a small amount of soap along with a toothbrush, then rinse with distilled water to minimize any buildup. The nice thing about flushing it with mayhem blitz afterwards is that if there were any buildup/residue from the cleaning, it will get rid of it.
@NASAFanboy

Tip: when reusing WL parts always check the seal on the fittings, after being used and with temperature changes they get deformed and they can leak, specially after being tighten up hard with a screw driver since they get squeezed. It's funny, when I designed my loop, I did design a drain port... but the place I had the drain wasn't going to fit the valve. So instead, I capped it off, and whenever I need to drain liquid, I just open the drain cap, and thread in the valve with a piece of spare tubing onto it. As long as I don't introduce air, I lose like a drop or two of fluid as I'm putting on the drain valve. So remember, unless you introduce air, having a small opening isn't too bad. But the system also needs to be off, else the pump will force all liquid out that small hole. 5 years now I've had this cooling loop, and it's been working amazingly. Tubes are lovely greened over time, but they're still holding strong.

tips for getting air out on a fill or refill: in order to get the air out if the system (for noise) i typically lift the pc in both hands, and turn it in all sorts of directions, upside down, diagonal, on the side, everything you can imagine, can be quite heavy if you have a full tower with 3x360, HDDs, etc - that moves the air to the reservoir and you can end it by topping that off with water. You will can hear the air bubbles move in the loop, and you can hear them pass through the pump - when the noise stops you are done :)

Not sure if it's just me but especially with hard-line loops, i will heat up the loop on a benchmark or something with my fill port open then cap it after. It's to lower the actual pressure in the loop as the liquid and any air pockets heat up (and expand creating higher pressure under load) then when it's capped and cooled down it creates a lower pressure in the loop. I guess it's more of a precaution if anything, it somewhat may help but not sure to the extent at which it would help in real world application. 🙂

@@JesusLife247 Professional video editing is the best justification for a 30 series card, much moreso than gaming. The only surprising thing is that it took them this long to upgrade their work computer. If you watch this channel, you know that supply is higher than ever. There are tens of thousands of cards. Complaining about a couple hundred cards between all of the tech reviewers combined is missing the point, but wouldn't even apply to this video in particular because it's for their job.

Reminds me of when I got my first case, a desktop case designed for a BabyAT motherboard, a AMD K6-2 500MHz CPU(Oc'd to 600), 128MB SDRAM, and a Super Socket 7 mobo. Honestly was a sleeper PC at the time lol. Was excited to upgrade my machine to something I thought was powerful. Anyone remember overclocking with DIP switches on the motherboard?

Get a battery powered compressor from Ryobi or Dewalt or something! So many other uses too: case cleaning, car tires, flush that coolant out quick, maybe get some air powered tools, have epic ballon birthdays without passing out twice 😜😂😂👍👍👍

Wiping your hardware with that literally makes it about 20% cooler /) 5:14 That's because you're literally downgrading his VRAM. 6:36 I always blame Pinkie Pie when that happens. 8:08 Laughs in OG Sound Blaster 16 :D 14:28 "Spring cleaning" - it's snowing right now...
