Having the luxury of a shower in the van is a major convenience! We generally shower every 2nd day, but sometimes every day depending on what we have been doing.
The Oxygenics Fury RV shower head has different flow settings:
Low - 1L/min
Medium - 2.5L/min
High - 4.8L/min

If you're interested in how I built the shower watch S1E5 of the Van Build Series. Having a shower/toilet in the van is next level and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone doing a van build! Season 1 Van Build - bit.ly/VanBuildS1 Season 2 Van Build - bit.ly/VanBuildS2

Hey Jaz, a great tip for reducing laundry while living in your Van. Dry your face/hair/body with a small dry facewasher before grabbing the big towel. You can then with that small facewasher wipe shower surfaces then put it into the dirty wash. You'll be amazed that your big towel never gets dirty and is always dry when you grab it. If you do laundry once a week get 14 small facewashers they take up no space at all and they are dirt cheap. You'll find your sheets will even be cleaner because drying off with a facewasher actual makes your body cleaner because you're rubbing off more of the dead skin. Give it a go you'll be suprised in how many ways this little change makes a positive difference to so many aspects of Van life and even everyday life.

I have to admit, I was laughing with you when you said, this is weird taking a shower on youtube, but in all seriousness, its a great demo mate, appreciate you taking the time, as you know, I'm planning a full shower and toilet, but with the toilet, I have decided to go the compost route instead now.

That shower toilet combo, is a game changer. the standard is set. I’m curious how a composting toilet would fare in place of the cassette toilet, but that’s still awe inspiring.

As a 48 year old woman, I felt positively decadent clicking on the thumbnail of you showering - almost didn't do it as it seemed a mite 'cougar-ish' (even if I was the only one to know I did ) but I need to know about showers in a sprinter van lol! Thanks for another informative video!

I always wondered why you installed a separate hot water system instead of a combi boiler. That 5 second hot water sounds like an absolute luxury after a day out cycling or kayaking.

Thank you for posting this! It would be amazing to have a shower in the van - I love the "bed in the back" solution because of the storage space it allows underneath for bicycles and surfboards and the like so hacking a full-size bathroom would take too much room. But oh man, do I want to take a hot shower inside on hot days! Maybe I can use some kind of pop-up shower curtain to save space... We'll see! Thanks for sharing your system bro - really appreciate it.

Jaz great vid mate. In reflection, are you happy with the shower set up or would it have been better to separate the toilet from the shower? Im thinking it would allow a smaller shower footprint inside the van (giving back more precious space) and the toilet (porta potti type) could have been slid into the bottom of a cupboard or small locker. Only downside is losing a small bit of privacy. Your opinion?
@JaznLori
@JaznLori 6 жыл бұрын
Hey mate no regrets I love it just the way it is and wouldn't want it any other way :) Because the toilet swivels you can sort of swivel it out of the way, and when you use it, you just swivel it out. There's no more room for a porta potty in a cupboard, I like that it is all contained in one bathroom
@dutchie7302
@dutchie7302 6 жыл бұрын
Mate informative vid thanks. Having now travelled and experienced your set up, what are your thoughts on having a porta potti rather than having the toilet in the shower? Accepting a bit of privacy from one another is lost, I'm thinking it would lessen the size of the shower therby freeing up some more space. It could be stored and slid out of a small side ground level cupboard? Thanks Jaz.
@JaznLori
@JaznLori 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much man, glad it helped! In my opinion, I wouldn't change a thing. I love having the Toilet and shower in the "Bathroom", and since the toilet is fixed there is no mucking around ;) I know the shower is definitely smaller than you're average shower but we have fit 2 people in the shower so it cant be that small haha
