Dean is their brother-in-law. Their dad was into cars, so the band name is derived from the Chevrolet Chevelle. As a fan (a Chevellion, of course), I love Pete’s incredible voice, how catchy the songs are, and the strong bass throughout their catalog. The La Gárgola and The North Corridor albums went heavy, which I also love. I’m not partial to one style - their melodic beautiful songs, their more heavy songs. I love it all. From the sneak peek they posted on social media recently, the album they are working on right now is going to be heavy.

I really love Pete's voice. The lyrics are always genius. And the sound just touches my soul. It's a bit melancholy, hard, but also hopeful and peaceful. Their sound invokes a feeling, a longing for a place that feels like home that I've never been to that probably doesn't exist.

the name came from the Chevrolet Chevelle. If anymore Chevelle is done, the Clincher or Family System and for more recent definitely Self Destructor or So Long Mother Earth.

Self destructor is pure greatness. Such a simple yet memorable riff, the bass slaps and the drums are straight forward and hit hard.

Love watching Chevelle reaction videos. As a musician hugely influenced by Pete, love to see some songwriting analysis in there as well. Will be checking out the rest! The melodies you put at the end there were beautiful.

Pete has mentioned before that some songs they tend not to play Live too often for the very reason that it requires an extra guitar to double with. Such as with their song "I get it". He can do it with a single guitar but it doesn't sit as strong.

Yes. Singable melodic songs with kick ass heavy riffing. Pete can sing like a mother you know what. Listen to Safer Waters and Shameful Metaphors. Those are like this song. Great choruses. Good job reacting. You tell me the chords so i dont have to figure them out! Lol.

To my knowledge, Chevelle doesn't tour with another guitar player. It's just the three on them on stage. I remember in an interview, Pete mentioned that replicating the sound of their recordings is the hardest thing for them.

When I saw Chevelle back in 2014 it was just a trio. No 4th or extra players and they killed. A lot of pedal work and skill. I hope the last song is face to the floor or hats off to the bull!

So besides all of them being incredibly good looking imo, I love them so much because of the way their music makes me feel. Pete’s voice is like a warm blanket that is so comforting to me. The delivery of each song plays on your emotions, and that’s the point. The songs, for the most part, are relatable and never get old. I’ve loved them since they came out when I was in high school, and I always will. They are absolutely my favorite band❤

I see a lot of people saying they never saw them play with a 4th member. I’ve def seen them multiple times with another guitarist. Any time anything from Vena Sera was played, 4th man was there. To be fair, he’s normally just off set. Behind the curtain as it were. I remember being confused as hell seeing that not really understanding how musical tracks were mixed back then. That being said I have a great story about Pete (lead vocals). I went to see Chevelle in Columbus Ohio a long time ago now. When Pete stepped on stage he said, “I’m sick as fuck. Let’s do it.”, chugged half a bottle of cough medicine, and then played a flawless 45min set. It was magic.

The appeal for me/what I find unique about them is, yes, they have some pop sensibilities, but also, they are one of those rare groups who seamlessly meld that with more "artsy" elements. Like Pete's vocal style; it's not really syncopated and rhythmic, like you would expect most heavier music or even pop to be; it's more...airy, "ethereal" almost, reminds me (especially in conjunction with the bass) of TOOL, actually. In a lot of ways, they're like a poppier TOOL, in my mind. And yes, love the Chris Lord-Alge shout out, he is truly the best, IMO. I actually had to check to make sure he *didn't* mix this, it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility 😂 He didn't, though.

But Dean is not with them anymore he left right before this last albumn they have a new bassist and he's really good to and plays his ass off live. I saw them last September and they kicked ass it was a small venue and i was pretty much maybe 6 foot from the left hand side of the stage i had a great view well they was untill the giant security guy worth the big head stood right in my view line but i got some good pics and videos but i didn't really post them cuz I'm most of them I'm singing or screaming or cussing out the security guard
