Finally a Chevelle reaction! Hard to find them. Very underrated band. What these three guys are able to produce is astounding. They have some similar sounds to a few other bands, but at the same time have a unique sound all their own. Love me some Chevelle! Another song to check out is Send the Pain Below.

The comparison to Tool has been made from time to time over their 9 studio albums. That said, they are their own thing, their own signature sound. Here's a few I'd recommend for you delve further in to them. Clincher, Get some, Closure, Vitamin R, Sleep Apnea, Door to Door Cannibals, Revenge, and a few off their latest album that just dropped March of this year...So long, Mother earth, Self Destructor, Remember When and Ghost and razor.

Chevelle is indeed named after the car, the lead guitarist/singer and drummer are brothers, and the Chevelle was their father's favorite car.

Fantastic reaction and review. I was fortunate enough to see them live in Virginia Beach a couple of weeks ago. The amount of sound that comes out of these three musicians is staggering. Try a live video, if you're ready to step up to another level of appreciation. You''ll be amazed at how Pete sings his unique vocal lines while playing some amazing guitar. Could you please react to "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin? The lead singer has a very cool unique voice that I think you'll LOVE!! Or if you wanna do another Chevelle, "The Red" is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

Check out their songs "Shameful Metaphors" and "Clones". The day-to-day Chevelle fans won't mention those tracks. Also, Chevelle covered "Black Boys on Mopeds" by Sinead O'Conner if you want to hear another side of them. Chevelle admits that TOOL is an influence, but their real point of comparison is the Alt Metal band Helmet. As far as I know, Chevelle hasn't covered TOOL but they have covered Helmet's "(High) Visibilty". Pete might remind you of Maynard but their music has the same lurching sound as Helmet.

Thank you, point number one was like a tool/helmet hybrid. Chevelle hit a spot in the 2000’s where they had a lot of success but if you listen to the newest album Niratias it goes back to some early roots. I fucking love the new album!

I love Chevelle's mood and tones. I have been playing for 30+ years and never spent much time playing cover tunes. But now I play many just to keep in shape... I play more Chevelle tunes than any other Band! This is my favorite to play along with Face to the Floor. This actually has a swing to it.. and I play 2 leads over this as well. I will lay down a version of my play along and send it to you. I dig your style and evolution into Rock/Metal.

Che’ velle’ lul top 5 bands for me, the point number one album was a early tool clone. More metal and more straight forward as early tool was. Tool moved forward chevelle stuck with that sound and worked around it with great success.

I hate the Tool comparison other than they are very talented. There is one song i think Pete sounded like maynard and you have to consider pete sings and plays the guitar. So one song Pete sounds like half of Tool.
