Pro tip from a former manual laborer: When you're down on your knees like that, dont put your hand flat to brace yourself especially when you're leaning on it, that posture puts all of the pressure and weight on your wrist itself, INSTEAD make a fist and brace yourself with the top of your knuckles like youve punched the ground and are trying to push it away, this pose will use your forearm or entire arm as the brace where that kind of support isnt going to do nearly the same damage over time! I hope this saves someone's wrists!

I love how everyone walked onto the steps but the moment they saw the framing they started losing balance. It just goes to show how cool optical illussions are in that they can literally effect your balance when standing flat on the ground. Your artistic skill is amazing and it's really inspiring that you're willing to just try new mediums

Your brain uses shading and perspective queues to understand depth. That's why it's very easy to fool the brain with these kind of illusions. Where the dizziness comes from is your inner ear canals do not tilt the fluid in them like your brain would expect from angling downward going down a staircase. So your eyes are telling your brain there's a descent in front of you but the fluid in your ear canals is saying it's flat level ground, leading to the disorientation.

First, as someone with chronic pain, it matters to talk about the pain. Labor, even labor we love, isn't all sweetness and light, and it's toxic to pretend otherwise. Second, I'm shocked that people aren't commenting more about the amazing reflections on the prop sword in the final shots. The reflections of the lighting and also of the colors below, just add an extra unique touch of awesome to all the photos of people immersing themselves in this world you've created.

This is just incredible! I am always so impressed by those who can do the 3D chalk art. Tip: If you have already completed a good portion of your drawing, but then need to go back and work on something towards the top again, try using a large piece of cardboard. Gently lay it down over a section of your piece, and you can then walk on it without causing footprints, or knee prints. Just be careful when lifting the cardboard back up. Been using this trick for about 18 years now.

Fun tips! As chalk artists, we use tempura paint/chalk paint (available at hobby lobby, or michaels) to hitch doesn’t smudge or smear like chalk does, so that the public can pose on our 3-D pieces without worry. Plus you can add normal chalk on top for extra fine details if you’d like. It still washes out after rain, but lasts longer and won’t smudge

I absolutely love how you don't just stick too one genre that you are good at... but that you take on projects well outside your comfort zone... and than freaking nail them. It's a great example for my kids as i try to teach them it's great to be good at and even master something for sure but constantly challenging yourself with stuff outside your comfort zone is how you really grow!!! Out of eveything ive seen you do so far... this was definitely epic ...and worth the pain and effort. As a landscape contractor that specializes in interlock brick patios, I can definitely sympathize with the pain you were feeling in your knees, back and wrists. Thankfully I now pay people to do all that whilst i sit there and bark instructions at them...lol Way to work through all of that to achieve success!!!! 😉👍
