A M A Z I N G !!!! Not only is this very instructive from a musical perspective but having spent so much time trying to do this manually over the years, I pretty much starting avoiding it. Now I can EMBRACE IT. Thank you, Lukas!

Great tool, the trigger ahead function with strumming is brilliant.

Love this! One piece of constructive feedback on the strumming: a guitarist sees a "down" direction as moving the pick downwards, which means the lowest notes are triggered first, and an "up" strum moves upwards, triggering the high notes first. Might be good to have an option to use guitar strumming directions or have text making the functionality clear to avoid confusion. :) Edit: Having a negative velocity option would also be useful, as sometimes a guitarist will hit the first note harder and fade through the end of the strum.

Yes. A negative velocity.

Thank you for the feedback! Very good points. I've added both to my list for future improvements. Indeed, a negative velocity option would be very useful.

Lukas, food for thought: going beyond up & down strums, it would be wonderful to have arpeggio patterns to simulate picking etc.

Hey Ian! Yes. Arpeggio patterns would be great. I was thinking about this already but it was not in score for the 1.0 version. But I'll keep it on my list and to be honest I'm quite keen to add more complex strumming patterns and arpeggios with an update.

Would this only activate on 6.6.1? I downgraded to 6.5.2 bc i’m having performance issues, would I miss on certain features if I buy it?

Is it possible to strumm a chord individually? I watched the video with all the chord changes. But I just want to change one or a few. Can it be done?
@studioonetutorials

Sure. Just select only one chord.

Can you make this macro by yourself using macro editor in s1? Or you have to download extension to have so many strum options. That should be in normal version of a Daw

These aren't macros. You couldn't do this yourself.

Why must keyboard players insist on trying to imitate a guitar. It never sounds like a guitar even with strum chord. Guitar playing is so random, there are so many variables that a keyboard can not emulate.

If you’re composing or making a demo, and don’t have access to a guitar or don’t play guitar. Lots of reasons.

Welp, I’m a guitar player trying to imitate a keyboard. What am I supposed to do? Hire a keyboard player every time I need to record a little part in my hobby studio? Not gonna happen.

@@BlakeAlbinson I’m not a guitar ist either, I use a 4 string piccolo bass. I’ve tried a lot of these midi guitar emulators and haven’t had success with any of them. The feel isn’t there and I haven’t found a keyboard player that can mimic the feel either, it always sounds like a keyboard.

@@garethde-witt6433 It's not the entire reason, but part of the reason is like Lukas said you are most likely playing keyboard chords using your virtual guitar instrument, which means they aren't chords that a guitarist would/could actually play. Using Harmony Wizard to turn the keyboard chords into actual guitar chords as a guitar player would play them makes a HUGE difference. That and you just have to have a really good guitar virtual instrument. If you have a crappy virtual instrument it will sound crappy. There are quite a few out there there that really capture the nuances of guitar. Ample guitar makes some good ones but there are others. They even have all the fret noise etc.
