Wish they offered a "luxury tech" package or something for the Z71 to give it the real leather and extra tech that the RS has. I don't want 22in wheels just to get real leather, folding mirrors, memory seats and a freaking garage door opener... I can't believe the Z71 is missing those basic features.

Z71 has the option for garage opener but the ventilated seats was shocking at the price point to me…

If I wanted a more luxury spec, I’d probably got Acadia Denali. We decided to go Z71. There are several dirt road we have to drive on around our house and the 22 inch wheels would likely get bent at some point. I was disappointed to not have memory seats, power passenger seats, and no option for ventilated seats. I don’t think the RS was worth the extra money and I like the looks on the Z71 more. But at $55k, the Z71 should include those options off the RS model save for the power power folding 3rd row and painted trim.

for people living in cities, its not worth going z71....the tires are not eco, twin clutch consumes more fuel, higher clearance comes with less aerodynamics........and not much difference in price with all that options in........so RS is the way to go!

Trying to decide on a new 24 Traverse RS or a 24 Honda Pilot Elite. The 4 cylinder scares me a little even though it’s powerful.

I need help finding a heavy duty truck 1 ton SRW diesel because I’m soon going to get a equipment trailer to haul a compact tractor and other stuff but the compact tractor is around 4000 with the under deck mower the one I looked at . I’m thinking about the Tremor f350 XLT with the HO powerstroke with the gooseneck prep and the generator built in but I’m not sure if I should get that or a gmc at4 3500 with the diesel. But what would be a good hd 1 ton srw for towing 7,000- 13,000 lbs but I will also tow a fishing boat

Honestly not really, even between the ls and rs there isn't much of a difference besides a few feature comforts that arent with the extra 13k, there's so much standard features on these now that even the ls model has that makes going for the rs questionable. Hell the ls even has a 360 camera, heated seats and a steering wheel and they all come with the same engine and transmission. If they gave the rs the high output engine found in the colorado than id say it may be worth it but there's just simply not much of a difference

Exactly. Unless you specifically need all the extras, the base trim has plenty. And I may be in the minority, but I like the grille of the LS and LT a little more than the high trims. I'd definitely go for the lower trims and save money.

Nah... I wouldn't pay an extra $10k for the RS. To go even further, I think the lower trim LT starting at $40k is perfectly fine as well - or even the LS for $37k. I get that you get more fancy gadgets and doodads with the higher trims, but I'd just as soon buy a lower trim and save $15k. As a suburban dweller who won't be offroading or towing, I don't need all the extras. Anyway, this is an awesome looking SUV. Definitely on my radar for my next vehicle.

Turbo engines The majority of the driving public do not know enough about engines, turbos, cubic inches, torque and horsepower to care. Just like and air compressor, the higher the pressure you run it the shorter the life of the pump, a car engine is a pump. Turbo's pressurize the engine to falsely make it put out more power. The 4 cylinders lose power as they get more miles on them, there is no substitute for cubic inches, horsepower and torque. I have built engines and turb's boost the pressure into the small engines creating more power at the expense of the life of the engine. Your maintenance cost will exponentially increase with a turbo when it fails. Any economy you may have gotten from the turbo will be totally lost on the replacement cost of the turbo.

The factory options and lack of standard features drove us away from choosing the all new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. It really doesn't compare well to its rivals unfortunately.

I’m a GM guy, but it’s undeniable that the RS makes no sense. To spend that much just to get access to real leather? A base Lincoln Aviator can be had for $55k and is a far better vehicle. GM is trying to fool people, and to their credit it will probably work.

The z71 comes with the v92 trailer option which upgrades the cooling system for towing.

I have the RS and it doesn’t do that. There’s a ton of convenience settings to choose from, I bet there’s may just be selected to “on when vehicle starts” or something.

One of the biggest complaints I've seen for the 2019-2023 Traverse is the drivetrain. Mostly because of the weak transmission and the V6's timing belt issue. The V6 is no longer a problem because it's not used any more and the transmission is no longer a problem because the 2024 Traverse is FWD, which uses an entirely different setup.
