I love your videos man keep up the good work! You just need to be careful when you’re doing your reviews. You said that the RAM Auto Stop wasn’t good or working well. When you flipped through the functions of the dash you can see that the vehicle is telling you that the Auto Stop Function isn’t ready because the battery is being charged. Meaning that the truck can’t be turning itself on and off because there’s not enough battery power to do so. The system is working and pretty good actually!!

The other gear option for the Hurricane Ram 1500 is 3.55. Would like to see what the RPM difference is and overall difference in economy.
@hellkitty1014
@hellkitty1014 Ай бұрын
So a few things to note: On the fuel economy number, the Ram has a few tricks up its sleeve, despite a 3.92. The truck remains the most aerodynamic, in terms of shape and active aero(grille shutters, deployable spoilers,). Also, the ZF has such smart shifting that it doesnt need the add'l two gears of the Toyota. And whats interesting with this test is that the Ram was at a further disadvantaged due to the tow mirrors acting as sails as well. The Toyota is a good truck, but I do wish Toyota address many of its shortcomings, mainly the much known build quality issues, 24s still having engine issues, no tow hooks at all, a single-speed transfer case(in a $70K+ pickup in 2024?), tight cab in comparison to the Big 3, the fake engine noise(I know they're wanting to sound like a 5.7, but it will never be one), and refreshing of the front end. I still havent warmed up to it.

Good review. Also, the rear gears vs mpg is not as big of a deal nowadays. There’s a point where if you’re turning the engine too slow it’s not as efficient. It was a bigger problem in older engines and when transmissions were 3 and 4 speed. Try it sometime in a Ford f150 where you can select the gears. Hold a speed and cycle down through the gears. You can watch the instantaneous mpg to see for yourself. I’ve done it with a couple different trucks now. At 80 mph, you see almost no mpg difference. At higher speeds, 10th gear is ever so slightly less mpg (if you can get the truck to hold 10th). Try it for yourself sometime, don’t take my word for it. 👍🏻👍🏻
