Picking up my Active X in 3 weeks and I'm getting a few bits ready for its arrival. Just picked up the Next Base 522 GW and hardwire kit from halfords this morning and I called Next Base to state I needed a micro 2 fuse adaptor and they are sending one out right away free of charge.👌🏻 Brilliant service! Keep up the good work mate. Excellent vid. 👍🏻👌🏻

Please note that you've got the right wheel UK version. In the left wheel EU version, the cabin fuse box is exactly where the manual says, behind the glove box and the glove box does not need so much hustle to remove. You first have to click the support pins to the right position and the glove box just drops down. I would also suggest to buy a better camera, like the blackvue 750 or 900 dual channel and maybe for a separate battery if you keep your car outside to have long lasting parking mode. The extra features really justify the price and I am very happy so far. Please note that I'm not selling dashcams or I've never been sponsored by any dashcam manufacturer.

Got a Mk8 and just taken delivery of a hard wiring kit. Mine is not a Nextbase kit but one I bought on Amazon. It fortunately came with 4 fuse piggyback adapters including the Micro 2 sized one. The bit in your video that has been most helpful is routing the cable behind the air bag. I thought it would have been simple/OK to poke it behind the door trim. However, while I knew not to impair airbag operation I didn't realise there was one in that location. Cheers fella.

I have a mk 8 fiesta st performance edition and have just bought a Nextbase 422GW dashcam. I am however having trouble mounting it as the housing behind the rear view mirror is in view if I put it in a similar position to where you put it JB if I mount it to the left I have managed to nearly eliminate the housing from view but now the camera is looking through part of the windscreen that isn't cleared by the windscreen wiper so in the rain its useless. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so where did you find was the best place to mount the camera? Thanks.

chris else Had nothing yet - I was half expecting it though. Nextbase supply a ferrite core with their kit which claims to reduce interference. I’ve not used it here, but I’ll add it if I get any interference. They’re about £2 off eBay - might be worth a shot 👍🏼 they simply clip on the power cable
