I usually reach for the jbl's because you know they'll be riding line with the best at any level. My experience as a former stereo shop owner from 80s and 90s is there a lot of high-end speakers that I like just as well or better than the JBL at low to mid volumes on a sound stage. But when you kick speakers in the ass with the power of the most of them fall apart and the JBL's comes alive

You really cant go wrong with those Skars. I have 2 of these 6x9s in my front doors and a pair of Deaf Bounce Apocalypse Arnolds in my rear doors and some Skar Tx35 super tweeters and it sounds amazing

Nice comparison. Skar *was* a little more clear in the upper midrange. JBL has another octave in midbass and bass and fullness that Skar could not reach. It's easier engineering to produce clear upper midrange than clear full sound. Skar may be a little thin and bright in some locations/installs, and agree, you may need a sub.

I think the Skar sounds better. Much more coherent mid range. The low end on the JBL sounds like hitting paper. JBL seems to have crisper highs.

At low volume just drinking are probably like those scars but if you kick him in the ass with some power they're going to get too harsh and the jbl's are going to come alive and start singing

I bought a set of JBL GTO 939 series and JBL GTO 6.5 for my Grand Cherokee installed them and a Sony stereo 54x4 and it does have a factory amp under the back seat, once I adjusted my stereo out,these jbls sound amazing, I didn't know it but JBL are in with infinitie. Skar audio are a very good choice of speakers, but I wanted something on a whole different level and I have it, so fellows don't cheat yourself, treat yourself to some b a JBL 👍💯 thanks for the video.

I think the JBL sound more like Bose, and the Skar sounds like a studio monitor. This is what I rear. My speaker that I use to rear is 2 Adan audio studio Monitor and 12 inch woofer for studio

When the trumpet plays on the jbl it distorts. But comes out clear on the skar. Even the bass on the skar sound clear and no pops like the jbl

Great review, if it's possible, please include information on each speakers frequency responses, especially the low frequency hertz, so far only the (Rockford Fosgate) car speakers are able to hit 50 hertz for the 6X9's which is impressive. The silk domes tweeters on the skar are a nice touch, but the kapton voice coil is what would steer me away from the skar. The reason why it's cheaper is because of the lower quality materials it uses. Both sound good, the skar would work for those on a budget. I would get the JBL because it's built better and would probably last longer.

I run a full line of SCAR AMPLIFIERS, however, all my Mid-Bass, Mids, and Highs come through better on a JBL sound stage. That's what I prefer, you may disagree, or agree? There are only a million choices of brands and combinations. Back in the 1980's, I ran all full line of ADS amps and Boston Acoustic separates

The mtx thunder 693 are $99 they are very clean and great bass. Then the next Level is mtx thunder693 those are $149 they are outstanding. I have used a lot of 6×9 and they are some of the best. They are the same style as the JBL

@@LIFEINSPEED no there actually not. There actually on the level of the Rockford fosgate power series. The Rockford fosgate prime are ok sounding but not great there power series are the only Rockford fosgate I like. The kicker in my opinion are not all that great. The cs and ds have ok bass but the clarity isn't there. Trust me the mtx thunder the good ones are outstanding. They have all the bass you will get from a 6×9 but they have very clean crisp treble. Trust me they would give the JBL the best compition. I love hardon karma products they make top notch products. IAM an audiophile so iam a little pickey about sound quality. But yea those mtx thunder 3 way are crazy good. The kicker and Rockford fosgate aren't as Clean and crisp. If you ever get a chance I would love to see a video of them. I love anything to do with audio so I appreciate your videos. The only thing that's missing it the voice . I know you have to be careful with copyright. Most times the speakers with the bigger tweeter speakers the ones that have the small round speakers instead of the small tweates. They usually get louder on the words but they get a lot more destorted at higher volume. While the small tweater style like what's on the JBL and mtx they have a lot cleaner sound. But yea I would love to see a review of them. The mtx terminator series isn't all that good especially the red ones. It's the thunder that shine.

Im getting a 4 pair of audiopipe of 2000 watts which is 500 watts per speaker. Along with 2 tweeters of mclaren audio of 600 watt for tweeter. Along with a 6000 watt subwoofer by massive audio.

@@LIFEINSPEED I love the sq of my current build. Alpine Cde 178bt, hertz hdp1, hertz hdp4, herts mille 1650.3's in the front bridged to around 500rms, hertz hi energy sub bridged around 1400 rms. its loud, but the clarity is spot on.
