Finally opened mine for Christmas. Love, love, love it! I got 140 lb 300 gsm Bockingford in spiral tablet, too. The paper curled terribly! After it dried it is ok, but it made everything run where i didn't want. I ordered Achademy in a block, too, and it worked better for me. It will take practice to get the amount of spray and direction just right. It is more of a (lovely) mister bottle, but still has too much pressure. The warping caused little streams turning some to turn to rivulets of gross colors i had to lift. I will have to try pre-spraying the back and tape it down. I tried also painting using colors that matched the Brusho just for fun. I tried hairspray to fix them, but they look dull. So, i tried this wet paste-like goop, Golden gloss, i bought to try with Pearl-Ex. It brought on the gloss... maybe too much, but some color moved, so i am trying to find another easy fixative. Without the hairspray, it activated both the Brusho and watercolors. So, i am watching this a second time to learn more. Thank you again.

Your brush looks like an expensive Escoda versitil, I may be wrong but looks like brushes I bought and......never use. Probably most disappointing brushes in my collection. @@JBOONTOM Thank you so much. I am a card maker and have been using Brusho as a background medium for some of my Cards for years. I haven't done it in a while and was just refreshing myself. You have inspired me to give the brush a go maybe in a different way. I do love watching the results. Sometimes they aren't suitable for my needs but watching this video shows me that you can actually control the results more than I knew. I am away this week but when I'm back I will certainly checkout your link. Thanks so much. Carrie

Like everyone else I love your videos and your brusho book will be my reading material tonight, really enjoying myself ! The only problem I have had is with the Bockingford paper, it curls into a scroll as soon as I wet it but it doesn't seem to do that on Joannes's videos!

Sue make sure you use a heavy weight paper I use 300gsm 🥰

A week ago I had never even heard of Brusho, even though I've been painting all my life! A friend mentioned it and so I went straight to KZbin and found you! I loved the looseness and freedom of it - something my work has always lacked - so I thought it would be very good for me to try. I also love your way of working and presenting, so I sent for some Brusho and have spent the past few days watching various videos and having fun playing around. At first I was put off by the intensity of some of the colours - how to stop them looking garish?!! But I'm continuing to experiment. Now the thing I'm struggling with is how to cross that bridge between 'playing' and actually producing something that I, or anyone, would like to look at! Thanks for your super tutorials, Joanne, they've been a great help! x
