The only true villain, I see in small soldiers is just Gill mars. And sooner or later, whether they like it or not, if it means reprogramming them, the commandos and the gorgonites must form an alliance to face global tech and bring Mars to Justice .

There's a few things that occurred to me rewatching this: 1. Brick _literally got ripped in half_ and survived, but Nick only lost his legs and tapped out. That's just funny to me. 😆 2. I couldn't help thinking Chip's internal monologue during this scene would be like _"I have failed this boy. I have failed his father._ 😔" 3. In the lore of this toy line, the plot is basically that of _Predator,_ but if the Predator failed to mop the floor with the humans.

What I always thought was weird about the commandos is that this is the one time in the whole movie they even remotely act like good guys. At every other point in the movie, they are utterly psychotic. Their motto is even “there will be no mercy”. You’d expect that a parody of GI Joe would have a little more faux heroism going on, even if it’s very thinly veiled.

Despite the Gwendy's disfigured appearance they were fully operational, considering they didn't have chips, batteries or mechanical parts to make them move. It's just curious that they fixed one, created others, but left another one to die. The benefit of Nick being around would have added another 'armor' vehicle when they chased after Alan. Also the Commandos had better tech in that garage, while the Gorgonites used pieces in a garbage bin.
