I love Keychron, but I hate the keycaps they use.

I dropped water on my k2 v2 today. And now it won't work properly. Pretty sure it will return to normal after drying (I don't want to dissesemble it because when I first got it I remember someone ruining the microsoft/mac switch while trying to take it apart. I have taken all my other boards apart though, but thought the k2 was kinda great as it was so only modded the stabs and switches) Anyway, I thought .. maybe it won't work because I had it turned on multiple times while wet. And I've wanted one of the new keyrchron boards for a while now. I really wanted to a metal case, but it's twice as expensive and the sound is a lot more tingy / metaly and muted (like is often the case for metal). Also, really regret not getting the rainy 75, they kept mailing me about it and now it's too late. But also, they ship in april and I have no patience. They still have it on indie gogo but the shipping is for june. It's an absolute shame because the thing similar specs to the v1 max, only it's got a full metal body with a weight, it sounds insane, the pro version has a 7000 mah battery etc. Also, it's literally the same price. That said, the best looking one (black) is the lite version. The normal one has a nice silver one. The pro one only has the horribly ugly creme colored white. The other colors are tacky blue/purple/pink which I'm not into. Oh well.. wanted to order some black ink v2's, I love those switches. They cost a 100 fn euro now for 90. I bought them for like 60 euro back in the day. I'm excited for the new board, but also .. man I kinda want the rainy. Lastly, I wish the case for the v1 max was transperant black the regular v1 has.

Keychron seems ok at first glance but they totally kill it with dogshit customer service. Purchased a keyboard + mouse and several accessories, seemed decent until the wireless mouse doesnt perform as advertised. Dont plan on making any more purchases from them.

Their products are pretty much trash. Their customer service is pretty much nonexistent. I stopped buying from them already after two of my keyboards suddenly stopped working. I was willing to buy a replacement PCB and shipping, but their customer support isn't even interested.

@@HarryLorenzo idk about their customer support. But I've been suing a k2 v2 for years now and it's probably the most reliable board I own. Not ONCE, not a single time did I ever have bluetooth issues. Which is a common thing I have with less reputable keyboard brands.

I ordered the V2 45 days ago... I knew nothing about custom keyboards but now they come out with a wireless version with gasket mounts for the same price 2 weeks later. I'm soooo annoyed. Anyone want to buy a V2 cheap so I can upgrade lol

I buy New Balance rather than Nike, in part because Nike doesn't sell anything wider than C.

I missed that they are similar to the pandas.. I've always wanted to try those. But I also know I prefer my keys linear. I went with red, because it was the only linear one (why the f did they name it banana, it made me think it was a yellow switch aka linear). I might have bought the bananas if I had known, since I'm pretty sure I will have to change the reds to something different. I'm glad they are factory lubed at least. Lubing is absolutely hellish to do. I'll probably end up getting some cheap prelubed gat yellows, since those sound great and feel incredible. I'd prefer black ink v2's, maybe I willt ake them out of one of my other boards. But no way I'm spending another 100 on switchesn now.

It’s a shame they took the silicone out of the max versions and replaced it with foam. I think silicone mutes the sound better. Though that does look better than the flimsy, thin foam some manufacturers use.

in my normal v2, i have both foam and silicone. tape too

@@JustSherrpppalso got the v2 but the usb c port got fucked due to moving the board from work to home and the same around, so i just bought the v2 max barebones, for my old v2 i have some akko cs black and they feel nice, hope i can replace the case foam with the silicone, that would make this board just perfect for me

I'm a low-profile keyboard lover so I opted with the Nuphy Air 96 which I love. I have the Wysteria switches, but I've been really tempted to get an Air75 with Cowberry switches because from recordings and reviews, they sound amazing. Apparently feel amazing, too.
