Because Suzie C teaches music herself, she was able to provide her brilliant son (from his earliest years) with the best possible circumstances for becoming a musician. Yes, Jacob is probably a musical genius, but it was his mum who enabled him to find himself. And in Finchley! Who would have imagined??????

in an interview i heard him say she worked on his perfect pitch starting at age 3 having him identify the notes of things around the house such the "Kirby" [vaccume] and the like. good mom.
@bobhoskins95954 жыл бұрын
@@raybankes7668 You don't work on Perfect Pitch. You have it or you don't. You work on Relative Pitch. Jacob is brilliant with complex harmony. Not sure if a high degree of pitch is important for that. You'd think so though. In this video he demonstrates an astounding vocal tonality doing very fast vocal note progressions. I don't see how that would be possible without Perfect Pitch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep-lo2NtZduWhKc He sure does think fast!
@raybankes76684 жыл бұрын
@@bobhoskins9595 in that familiar clip June Lee can transcribe what Jacob plays or sings, again another wow music man, who im sure also have perfect pitch.

Jacob was 17. His attitude of relaxed concentration is an extraordinary thing to behold, his composure occasionally giving way to little ripples of stank face when he pulls something especially tasty out of the bag. Suzie is a wonderful violinist and an amazing mother. She knew better than anyone the potential of her son's talent, and it's remarkable that she found a way to nurture it so effectively, seemingly without ever imposing on it. Their collaboration is absolutely beatiful. I swear there's a moment during Jacob's solo when she's turning to liquid inside, hearing the brilliance of his playing. But professional to her core, she remains calm and carries on.

This is just totally splendid. Your improvisation is superlative. Your piece The Road Not Taken I must have contibuted around 20 hits on the counter...just brilliant. Get a CD album out. I don't do downloads. My best to you, you have a long future ahead. Dave, from oop North!!

@@GEMOTO the only issue is in reading or book or listening to a story without the visual provided for you, the listener/reader's own mind fills in the visual part. IN a TV or Movie or even an illustrated book the visual is given and the brain adopts that, so i somewhat disagree as each of us will have a different visual to any story told or read, that is what work or your brain actively making the visual now just passively seeing it. Great movies are important too, yet little ones need less of that and more of experiential imaginative experiences.
