I went with the exhaust tip extender. It was reasonably priced, easy to install “and” it looks great!

Very nice 🤙. Which extension you go with? Or was it a DIY buy?

@@KonkrRoads I bought it from DrivenMedia. It was easy to install, looks great and makes it stick out a little over 2” inches more than the factory US version.

Quick search on forums mention the actual USDM pipe on the exhaust is shorter so it really only extends it about an inch because the JDM ones will still sit further forward. This is probably why people prefer to go with an aftermarket extender instead.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I can attest that a USDM with extension and the JDM tips are nearly equal with where they sit in relation to the bumper. Midway through the video I have a clip with both installed -- the extension on one pipe and JDM on the other 🤙

@@KonkrRoads For sure. I'm just saying why someone would opt for the cheaper route if the more expensive JDM tips still aren't able to achieve the OEM JDM look. I personally would just get the JDM tip myself so there's less parts to deal with. Any way you can show it up on the car?

I understand what you mean now -- all true that the JDM tips won't bring the identical look. I'm with you -- I'd buy the JDM tips regardless for fewer pieces and less weight...I ultimately bought an HKS axle back so never had to address it 🤙

I have a Cobb titanium catback exhaust on my 2024 GR86 and I’ve actually pushed the slip on exhaust tips to match a more OEM JDM look v. most people who have them further out. You can’t even really see the laser etching of the Cobb name on them, lol.
