Glad you were able to get the install done without much difficulty. Not sure why I had so much trouble with it. They sound awesome/interesting from experience, you'll enjoy all the sounds you get from them

I am glad you like they way they sound. I am super excited to hear them in person. I did listen to Motive Video Project GTR Supercar video clips of Andrew getting on the boost. His car has the same BOV set up. I thought the Turbosmart setup sounded good on his R32!

Hope this video helps the GTR community! I am so excited to have no more boost leaks from my old worn out OEM BOV's. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for watching!

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't think I could handle that. I hope at least you got a different car that is still fun!

Nice and informative vid as usual. What can you say about vent to atmosphere? We have one and have some rough idle sometimes even stalling after boost, one tuner say it’s because of the BOV.
@JDMRightHandDrive3 жыл бұрын
Are you are running the stock ECU and MAF's. My car is running a Link G4+ ECU and Map sensor. With new Turbosmart BOV set up running 50/50 vent to atmosphere my car is running exactly the same. No issues between shifts with my setup.

@@JDMRightHandDrive Hello sir! Yep it’s oem ECU with MAFs. Usually the idle drop will happen after boost when you’re go to a stop. The HKS SQV it’s 100% vent right? Just weird seems some owners aren’t having much trouble with the Hks bov comapred to ours. 😄 It’s a boat 33 Gtr. Planning to get an aftermarket single recirculating since I don’t want to put twin bov on there again. Hehe

Hey what symptoms did you have when you were leaking from the BOV?

I have the same BOVs. How loose or how tight did you set them at? I think I might of set mine too tight
@JDMRightHandDrive3 жыл бұрын
I left my the way they came out of the box, which was full tight. I had an issues with them opening up properly under high boost. The issues was the original boost lines were cracked and not holding a good seal. I replaced the OEM boost lines from the BOV that connect to the frame of the car. BOV's work perfectly. They dont open at idle which is what the directions says. They easily open even under light throttle during shifts and at high boost, high rpm shifts. Hope that helps.

@@JDMRightHandDrive sounds good 👍, I am still having problems with my GTR, I recently uploaded a video on my channel. The car is starting to stall on idle and when coming to a stop.

What you’re doing, gathering parts and then installing them, I wish I could do it too, but I don’t have a garage!

Cool Video! Did you had to do any adjustments on the valve cause it seem like you just bolted straight on from the box? I am planning to replace this also. Thanks bro!
@JDMRightHandDrive3 жыл бұрын
I did not do any adjustments to the spring stiffness. The instructions said that the engine needs to be running and under vacuum pressure to adjust settings. I could not do this since turbos are not completely installed yet. I can easily reach the BOV's from the front bumper opening and twist them to soften or stiffen up for desired settings.

Hey I was wondering how u know there was a boost leak in the bov. I think I got a boost leak aswell because in the low rpm I miss alot of power
@JDMRightHandDrive3 жыл бұрын
You would know the bov's are leaking because you can hear them howl when they are opened, near the bov or by the intake filter. You can see the bov's opened during idle using a mirror on the vent to atmosphere port. I doubt the turbosmart bov's would leak at idle because the springs are 5 times stiffer than the stock bov's.

could you sell me the plug that makes it single port? by dual port is leaking bad through the atmoshpere port through the bov and into the recirculation side and i think the only way i can fix it is blocking off atmosphere port.let me know if you can sell yours thanks.

Let me look in my tool box. I can’t remember if I saved the plugs. DM me on IG of FB.

How much did you paid for both BOV?
@JDMRightHandDrive Жыл бұрын
Mine were $350 each, so $700 for a set. Looks like Turbosmart has revised newer models out now running just over $400 for a set now. throtl.com/products/turbosmart-nissan-rb26-kompact-dual-port-sp-blow-off-val-ts-0203-1072?variant=32552729280560 Thanks for watching.
