God I wish I could go back to the 70s. Less crime, classier people, much better music, and so many groundbreaking movies and TV shows. The worst thing about the 70s though........ NO VCRs!!! So if two shows you liked were on at the same time, you were screwed.
@wotan109505 жыл бұрын
amanda davis Really?? The 70s? Nixon, Vietnam, Watergate, race riots, recession. I’m just glad I survived the 70s. But yes, the tv shows were good.
@citygirl57055 жыл бұрын
@@wotan10950 Well, Watergate was nothing compared to the Democrat Corruption today. The rest of the stuff, I was just too young to care. But I certainly agree with you on Vietnam. I couldn't imagine being drafted and forced to fight.

@@mrnocal It's amazing what they will show on TV now. If people living in the 70s got a look at the language and violence of TV shows today, they wouldn't believe it. And yet they can't use the N word as freely as they did in the 70s, because of our ridiculous PC culture that most people are sick of. Heck, they took the Dukes of Hazzard reruns off TV because they had a confederate flag on their car. That's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.
@capacola2627433 жыл бұрын
i agree about the music, but there was way more crime, do your research, FURTHERMORE one of the BIGGEST reasons people/america are as FUCKED as they are now is because of LIBERAL PROPAGANDA disguised as entertainment, which "all in the family" (and EVERY show produced by norman lear) was a PERFECT example of. in real life, "archie" was as liberal as meathead and EVERY storyline on that show pushed some liberal BULLSHIT agenda that people accept as fact today.

Changing one's birth name is disrespectful & unnecessary. This also applies to people who drop their last birth name. It's esp true if it's done for the anticipation of greater recognition & or financial gain. It's like selling-out, to perhaps an Agent or Studio Mogul, while at the same time being ashamed of their Father.
@surlywithfabshoes Жыл бұрын
No it’s not. It’s a stage name which plenty of actors have. And she used her mother’s maiden name (Stapleton). She didn’t legally change her name. She just used it for SAG membership.

She’s a trained theatre actress where enunciation is imperative so that people in the 50th row of an auditorium can hear and understand every word. I’ll take that over mumbling actors today with their slang and poor enunciation and diction.
