My wife was in the roof next door and heard me listening to this interview. Her maiden name is Fletcher so she kept her ears open and was listening too. She summed up probably all of our feelings about Kirk when she said " I just want to be his friend". He is truly touched !! Thank you Kirk for sharing your gifts.

Still on this week long journey so far of Ask Zac afternoon veiwing binges. I've watched this one between 12 and 15 times now..? And each time time I pick up something new, funny or inspirational. This time I got a chuckle when Kirk mentioned Pine Bluff, Arkansas being out in the country. We lived there for a short time in the mid 70s and it was country alright, and it was poor. I hadn't noticed until the first day of 2nd grade, but the kids I ran with went barefoot all summer because they had torn up or grew out of last years pair. LOL.

Also being a sponge and soaking up every kind of musical style you can listen to and just drink it all in. Kirk seems like a beautiful person. I just want to give him a high five and a hug and then talk about guitars and play all night. I have run out of adjectives and nice things i can say. You both are very inspiring. Well, another one under their belt, and they just keep getting better and better. And either Zac crams for his exam doing research on the artist being interviewed, or he is genuinely a guitar/music historian. I think the latter. One thought I had though is, with all the information available to young and upcoming players today, interviews like the Truetone ones should help create a richer and deeper kind of player for the future. I wish I could go back 45 years and have this at my fingertips to guide and inspire. Next!!
