**Important Corrections:** 1.) The "cartilage" remains I referenced are actually made of chitin forming the carapace of the makrura... mixed up my bio terms there! 2.) The skeleton I found on the Isle of Dread could have been a chimera or a dragon as well... not 100% on either possibility though. :) Thank you for the helpful feedback and corrections!

I remember right at the end of Wrath, before the world was destroyed by the cataclysm, there was a big search going on to find the last of the "undiscovered content" because a CM had posted on the forums that there were still things that hadn't been found yet. Zalashji was thought to be key to this at the time because he would respond to some of your emotes (/wave I think, maybe more). People (including myself) spent hours trying to figure it out!

The magic in wow is in the small details that adds nothing but atmosphere to the game. Like the little inuit village situated on a remote island in azure span. You walk there, see some kids going on a sleighride in the snow. Just lovely. Were almost every game, no matter the genre, focuses solely on "rational design", wow has a charm that is still unmatched.

Great video as usual! I want to point out some trivia about the southern part of Kalimdor: - 2:40 The Isle of Dread is part of the Scepter quest chain for unlocking the gates of Ahn'Qiraj. The island is full of 60+ elite chimaeroks and include a boss mob (7-10 people recommended on level 60 to kill it). Back in Classic you could farm Chimaerok Chops there for the 25 stamina food. - 6:25 The reason for the details on the Island for the Scepter quests is most-likely just for that. Would suck to get send to an island to find a something and all it is is an empty blob of land. - 10:00 once again this island is related to the Scepter chain and this time there's a raid boss that requires 20 or more people to be killed. Funny how this seems to be a reoccuring theme for the islands of southern Kalimdor. I remember there was a rumor about Varian Wrynn being kept as a prisoner on this island back before Wrath. - 11:09 this area was part of the level 30 class quest for warriors. You had to fight and win in that ring of warriors to get your berserker stance.

If I remember right, there was a gnome/goblin building and some machinery at the buttom of the ocean somewhere east of Kalimdor. This was in the very early stages of WoW and pretty far south of the GM island and interrogation room. I also think the entrance to stockade was high up in the heavens in WoW beta. Plus part of the emerald dream was north of instanced scholomance. I never found the dragon isles that some people have pictures off, where its like a massive squid island.

Leveling always made me feel at ease and happy. You explore so many zones and feel gratification when you ding. Of course eventually you want to max out and reach end game content but after you go there you realize how aggrivating and toxic of an experience it is. I never went past WOTLK but when you reach lvl 80 you mostly visit two places - Icecrown and Dalaran. That's it. You want to create a new character to lvl again and chill but realize that it will end the same. You will reach max lvl, you will get attached to the character and want to gear him/her as well. And it just repeats. A lot of competition for the loot. RNG rolls. RNG drops. Ninjing. All depending on other people and a heavy dose of luck. It just becomes a second life to you. A second job really because you need to work very hard to progress. WoW is one hell of a drug and not many realize this. But watching your videos, your exploration is like lvling again without me facting the consequences of maxing out. So your videos and many others like it are something i watch when i lie down in bed. You deserve the subs and may your channel grow and prosper.

I wouldn’t recommend putting in the effort to try this because it’s tedious as hell, but I do recall seeing a video from ages ago, pre-Burning Crusade. I don’t remember who from (we’re getting near 20 years ago now, gimme a break), and I can’t for the life of me find the video now, so I assume it’s deleted. _Somewhere_ waaaaaaay out from Steamwheedle Port, well under those fighting Alliance and Pirate ships is another submerged Gnome town, similar to the one mentioned earlier more South in the zone. Except this one is so far out in the fatigue zone that it boarders the game itself. Like, it’s possible to swim so far out that it suddenly makes the same sound as when you fall off Outland and your camera stops following you down. The camera just stops following you if you go far enough out. But it’s not just out, it’s down. Where they also generally have massive drop offs in the water for the fatigue zone, you have to swim all the way down past that to the point everything goes completely flat again, because obviously they didn’t intend players to be able to get there so everything is just a ground layer. The original video was just during a certain time where a big lag spike of some sort hit the whole server, without disconnecting players, and nothing could be done by anyone, including dismounting since he was mounted when it hit, so he just decided to go out swimming. He didn’t dismount like one normally would upon hitting the water, so he and his skeletal horse just swam out as far as he could. The breath and fatigue bars never showed up. So he just kept going out and down until he eventually found the flat area, the gnome town and the camera stopped following him right on the outside of that town. It was a bizarre event he just decided to make the best of and found it. I’ve seen people reaching that closer southern gnome town with ease using level 1 Undead Priests, for the underwater breathing racial, and ability to heal more damage + regenerate mana faster than the fatigue can kill them. Not entirely sure how you can get down there while remaining level 1 as an Undead, but hey. If the same method can be applied, someone could take a really long and stupid journey to the deepest depths and boarder the game itself to find it, assuming they can tolerate stopping to heal every few seconds. Though my understanding of how the game works, when the camera stops following you, you’ll die a few seconds later automatically because the game would break otherwise if it didn’t. The guy in the original video did not die because of the afore mentioned server lag spike preventing anything from being done, so he was able to just watch his character swim around freely and completely independent of his camera now unable to move, only look around. And that was just a lucky find on the far out boarder of Tanaris, who knows what they put at the same distance and depth from other zones. The fatigue zone is expanded a distance out from most zones with coasts, the game boarders would have to be way the hell out even further. Anyone with omega levels of boredom and patience would probably be able to spend entire days skirting the game boarder of each continent finding weird oddities they dropped out past the drop off. _Though I don’t play Classic in any stage, I’m not sure whether things had changed enough to prevent such things from original broken vanilla. For all I know it may not even be possible anymore._
@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the detailed info! I will use this as a reference if I decide to go for it someday :) Other people might find this useful too!
@IBrowneeI2 жыл бұрын
@@Jediwarlock Well out of curiosity, I looked into how fatigue works now. Turns out at some point they made adjustments to it to stop all mana regeneration (including MP5), possibly entirely because of how low level characters kept reaching the fabled GM island. Mana potions and items like it still work, but it's not exactly helpful, what with cooldowns and all. I _assume_ they would've implemented that change to classic automatically. So low level priests don't seem like much of an option anymore. Funnily enough I did see a more recent video of someone in retail reaching the game boarders of Kul'Tiras and Zandalar using res sickness and health regen food. It didn't quite out-heal the fatigue, but he stayed alive long enough to find some interesting things bordering those zones. Like an exceptionally large skeleton of something south of Zuldazar. My memory of older expansions fail me on quality health regen food in classic (if any at all), but that + res sickness seems like a pretty solid method for ocean diving.

The traps at 1:08 are well known for a special fishing rod you can get there. This rod is the "Big Iron Fishing Pole" and to farm it you have to open up tens or hundreds of these traps if you are unlucky. I must have spend atleast 4 or 5 hours swimming back and forth there on different characters. Only Alliance players will do this farm because Horde players have an easy quest they can do instead which gives a better rod!

This is in classic btw

Both factions used the rod at the beginning. Seth's Graphite Rod? is the horde specific one. This was a common gold farm at the start of classic.

This was awesome, now I feel like rolling into WoTLK. If you haven;t already, I'd like to see something around that NELF looking zone in the middle of Duskwood. I've played NELF druids many times over the years, and never known what it is, though it feels druidish.

@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! From my knowledge, that spirit light has to do with either A.) A shaman class quest, or B.) A Felwood quest where you are sent here to purify some corrupted water. The WotLK server I film on definitely has its quirks, so there's a chance that light spawned there accidentally when it wasn't supposed to show up. :)

In the Battle for Azeroth expansion there is an underwater tavern-bar hidden off the map of the area of Vol'Dun. The underwater tavern-bar is inviting and pleasant, but there is a giant horn you can click on at the edge of a cliff looking straight down into unimaginable depths. Blowing the horn summons a building-sized kraken that simply stares at you from the abyss.

Once upon a time during Wrath of the Lich King (the original launch, not the classic relaunch) I was flying to Dalaran (personal flight not gryphon master) and while I was on my way I decided it would be okay to go downstairs and pee. Then when I was fully done peeing, hands washed etc. I thought to myself, I could really eat something, so I did... When I came back to my pc my dear healing spec druid was dead, I was shocked, I did forget I was flying to Dalaran so I thought "how can I be dead", but the damage-addon told me what I died to, and then I realised: Hey, the damage done by exhaustion is less than I can heal with my Blooming Life and Rejuvenation, so I can throw some heals onto myself and then swim back. It was fun, next thing I did was swim from the bottom of Teldrassil to Auberdine, just to notice while my druid could swim through the Exhaustion there, my deathknight could get there via horse even more easily, but that's a story for another day.
@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing! :) I definitely want to use that healing strategy to perhaps reach that underwater gnome village someday!
@schneeluchsalpha29662 жыл бұрын
@@Jediwarlock But be aware: Druing the next patch (I honestly forgot, which it was precisely, I'm a bit sorry for that) they did increase the amount of damage taken for exhaustion. If they were aware of this possibility they might have already implemented an increase in exhaustion damage for the re-release of wotlk, but I honestly hope they did not, so you can show us what you will find.

For some reason most of these areas are removed in retail, like the tauren village, the island of dread, the hidden island in tanaris.. sad :( Oh, and did they remove the "languages" from races? i remember speaking troll with my troll friends and the rest of the horde did not know what we where saying.
@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Cataclysm had a lot of unfortunate consequences... :'( I am not sure about that! I know that Orcish and Common are the two standard languages but I am not sure if you can change your chats to your race-specific language so members of the same faction can't read it... I'd be sad if they removed it!
