Installing an aftermarket adjustable front track bar is a great way to help re-center your axle after installing a 2”-3” lift and while there are a lot out options out there to choose from, I might recommend that you get the one made by Synergy. In addition to being made out of 1.50”, 0.25” wall DOM, it also comes with their signature, double adjuster sleeve and that means you won’t have to remove it to make fine tune adjustments. And, because it utilizes a pinch bolt to hold everything in places, you won’t have to fight with a jam nut that can be near impossible to keep tight. Of course, what makes this track bar really nice is that it comes with their awesome new Dual Durometer Bushings. In addition to being 100% maintenance free, the Dual Durometer Bushings are designed with 2 different durometers, a soft outer that offers cushioning and flex and a hard inner lining that acts as a bearing surface. Installing this track bar is super easy, can be done in under an hour using a just few basic tools and this video will show you how.

@@fishingcc9588 yes. I replaced my OEM trackbar. The Synergy is much more durable and isn’t held together with a pinch unlike the factory. I’ve also since replaced my LCA’s with the factory LCA’s that are 1/4” longer from the 2” factory lift kit. They are dirt cheap and increase your camber to the range they should be if your Jeep came from factory with 33” tires.

Great videos!! Only thing I would say is I would always use the torque wrench when ever possible on the nut side with your fasteners. The friction loss of the bolt through the brackets and ends can result in you not torqueing things down to the proper torque value.. for example if there is 15lbs of friction between the bolt, bracket and track bar end that nut is seeing 15 lbs less on its side.. Thanks again for the videos. I have watched a bunch and you do a really good job showing the product and explaining installation steps..

Both use dual durometer bushings and both are solid track bars. I wouldn't hesitate to run either. The Synergy one is just better in that it comes with their double adjuster sleeve and pinch bolt. I love your videos and how you take the time to explain everything, but one thing I've noticed is when you're tightening bolts with the impact then going back with a torque wrench to torque them to spec a lot of times it looks like the torque wrench clicks right away. That means it was most likely tightened beyond the desired torque with the impact and going back with a torque wrench only proves that. I know with a lot of these parts being over torque doesn't really make a difference, but on some it really does.

Great info in your video 🙏🏾. I’m a bit late 😊. I just installed Teraflex 2.5” lift kit on my JK Rubicon 2016 & notice my axels both front n back were pushed towards the driver side by .5” at the front n about 3/4” at rear axle. Just ordered RC adjustable front and rear track bar to recenter my axels. My question is when I line up the old track bar with the new, am I subjecting the extra .5” off so the new bar is .5” shorter than the old bar or measure eye to eye old vs new install it then adjust it afterwards to center the axels. I was a bit confused with that info in the video cos yours wasn’t too bad off center that would require you to adjust the bar. Any info on how to adjust the new track bars to get them to center again would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏾🙏🏾.

You want to make your track bars a bit longer to correct your axle position at ride height. I should note, this position will ALWAYS change depending on how much weight you have or don't have in your Jeep and it being off a bit is no big deal.

Hello I have a 2020 Jeep gladiator with a RC 6” lift witch came with a trac bar relocated bracket after a few days of the lift I when ahead and bought a rubicon express adjustable trac bar to 6” I had the shop installed it but they didn’t remove the relocation bracket it witch has me thinking what’s the purpose of ajustable trac bar if the relocation bracket is still being used any info on that thanks
@wayalife
@wayalife 3 жыл бұрын
For the most part, all you really need is a track bar relocation bracket as it will help to re-center your axle after installing a lift but it will ALSO get your track bar to sit more level with your axle just like factory and that will help with handling. An adjustable track bar will just allow you to re-center your axle and nothing more. Because most lifts yield more lift than what is advertised, some additional re-centering may be desired and that's where it would come in handy but it's really not critical.

Unless your kit comes with adjustable control arms and track bar, the only thing an alignment shop can do is charge you to recenter your steering wheel. IF you have adjustable components, they can reposition your front axle and add in more caster if you feel the need for it.

@@cjsalzano Well, it was worth a shot to help save you some money. For a lot of people, that helps and you'd need something like a JScan to get your TPMS to not give you grief. Being that your Jeep is stock, you really shouldn't need anything else to make it not feel like it's wandering. I'm guessing you came from a car with rack and pinion steering? Because, what you're feeling is probably normal for a Wrangler. I don't even think about it unless I start driving something else. Adding more caster would help out and adjustable front lower control arms will allow you to do that but depending on what you're expecting your Jeep to feel like, that might not even help enough.

@wayalife
@wayalife 4 жыл бұрын
Before you spend a dime, is it safe to assume you are NOT running an aftermarket double cardan drive shaft in the rear? If not, there is no need to set your pinion angle and no control arms are needed in the rear. Your axles are centered with track bars and really, there is no need to address them. By design, your axles will always be off a bit one way or another depending on how much weight you've got in your Jeep. As far as caster angle goes, there is no need to address it unless you are feeling flighty at highway speeds. Last but not least, new control arms will NOT correct geometry from a lift. The only thing that will are long arms and that's an entirely different ball of wax.

It is downhill and curving to the right at around 55 miles an hour. So I decided to get the adjustable track bar and get a wheel alignment done where I saw on a KZbin video from a guy in Vegas, who owns a shop how to set the toe with in the limits of the front tires, but just barely within the limits and I guess in the video he shows how that will take care of the problem without screwing up the wearing of your tires. I obviously told her not to go in the left lane of that curve when you go in the right lane because it’s two lanes it doesn’t happen at all. It’s really weird. The road does not have any major bumps. @wayalife
@wayalife Жыл бұрын
4" is a LOT of lift for just a set of 35" tires. That said, a majority of ride quality comes from spring rate and to get that tall, your coils need to be stiffer. Shocks will only serve to dampen bumps. Also, assuming you did not install long arms to help correct suspension geometry, you're probably also feeling the affects of your factory length control arms sitting at too steep of an angle. One last thing, if the tires you installed are load range D or E, that won't help anything either as they have really stiff sidewalls. However, even if you have load range C tires, lowering your psi to about 28-30 will help smooth things out.
