Jeep Leaves Me Stranded For The First Time Ever... Dumps All The Coolant Out.

On my way back to the house the jeep randomly began to overheat and we lost all the coolant. Finally got the jeep back to the house so we can begin tearing into it. Thought it was the water pump, but ended up just being a bad thermostat. A couple hours of work and she's back on the road!

Man! That sukks!! Hate when stuff like this happens. But anything mechanical... just a matter of time. Super cool Jeep. Love that thing! And man you are one heck of a mechanic! Wish I had skillz like that. LOL I'll leave the heavy lifting to you, and enjoy watching! That belt was gnarly. And glad you got it all worked out.

We got it moving again so should be good now! Should have another video out working on the truck again next week.

That was the IAT that you left unplugged. Chrysler doesn’t used MAF. I installed one of the aluminum housing thermostats on my JK and it’s been doing well

Might have to look into that for the next replacement, hopefully that’s years away though.

Just wait until you get that 3.6L lifter noise. 😂 -or the oil cooler leak -or the bottom end knock -or the electrical issues #jeeps

Pretty mad I wasted 175$ on the pump when it was just the thermostat but oh well, at least I know they're both good now.

Get rid of it bro. Jeep reliability is junk.

Been treating me alright so far, I don’t think a bad thermostat is a good enough reason to get rid of it.
