I had 2 2005 2.8L Diesel models love them, pulled the PN, ordered confirmed with seller and it came in about 5 inches too short. I can’t imagine a different engine creating a difference in drive line length I would anticipate the drive train to have been the same, but perhaps not. The part looks identical just too short, be careful when ordering parts measure your old one then confirm when ordering parts!

Wow such a amazing video . So much details. Can you make a video for liberty for front main seal and rear main seal. Most people who owns liberty have a problem of engine oil disappear slowly.

Hello, I’m gearing up to do this job on my daughters 06 Jeep liberty. I was looking at the rebuild kits versus a new driveshaft as it’s just a ripped boot for now but not sure about those kits. 09 liberty with 193,000 miles now getting replaced. do you remember the milage on the one from this video?

It had about 137,000 when the front driveshaft was replaced. The front driveshaft had previously been replaced by the dealer at 105,000. The quality of replacement parts varies greatly. Thanks for watching and leaving a question!

Was it causing like a knocking/tick noise under the shifter column area?

It will make noise, and shake violently if it gets bad enough. It's hard tell exactly where the noise is coming from inside the cab. To tell for sure see if the shaft itself wiggles or there's grease trails from a failed boot. The rear boot near the transfer case is likely where the problem is should it be time for a new front driveshaft. Thanks for the question. Good Luck with the Liberty!

@midwestsynthetic hey question will a bad driveshaft cause clunking/clicking noise while in drive and the vehicle is in motion. It's not the wheel bearings. It kind of feels underneath me

That's what it sounds like. To be sure see if the shaft wiggles at one of the CV joints.
