​@@umasankarsivasubramanian607 jeep engines are pain in the ass in terms of reliability,fiat multijets are leagues apart in that case.....and this 2.0L engine is no slouch this 9 speed AT is very linear which makes the car feel a tad slower than it should be, but this engine is capable of 200+ kmph 150kmph is a breeze for this engine

Meridian was and still is a bit overpriced. XUV700 is a great value for the features that it comes with. Though if budget is not an issue, you should test drive both and check them for yourself.

@@Auchitya01 I own a jeep, i know how good it is. If u think the electronics gimmicks are more value, then go for mahindra. If u value the pedigree, history, engineering quality and brand value of Jeep, then there is no alternate at this price

That's just what one needed in our environmental conditions, beige fabric upholstery which in get soiled in like 2 mins of buying it. And it doesn't stop there, if you want an automatic, it just costs 3-4 lakhs more over the manual depending on the variant. Performance in nothing to write home about and quality levels are just meh. Base variant lacks so much of equipment and price increments don't correspond with the equipment addition for the most part. Jeep has no clue on what could sell in India, they should simply leave and stop wasting everyone's time

Jeep uses India as a strategic market, where they manufacture cars and parts and they export to other countries. Poor sales in India is not a problem for Stellantis. India is the only country outside US where they are locally manufacturing / assembling 4 monikers.

Do you know most of the diesel cars in India has its engine sourced from Jeep's parent -Fiat. Other cars have their diesel engine technology sourced from Fiat. You know why because Fiat Multijet diesel technology is the most efficient and reliable diesel engine in the world. Even JCB uses Fiat diesel engine. And Jeep gearbox is sourced from ZF which also provides gearboxes for BMW, Lexus, higher end Toyota variants etc, and quite a lot of heavy duty trucks in the entire world .
