yes this should work . i designed a compressed air go kart years ago . i always wanted to make a car version but money and time are always an issue not to mention nefarious men showing up with sunglasses in a black sedan just before you die of a heart

Look at GM‘s compressed air engine, not a hybrid. Using the chassis to hold air. all car companies should look at this. This is the future. Make it cheap for us.😮

Would you prefer purchasing a Compressed Air Engine Car over an EV?

@GearheadGlam have you been to Iowa? There is NO charging. That means your paying 5k to 17k extra. We only have 4 tesla chargers you can't use at an airport.

@@TempoLOOKING No, I haven't been to Iowa, but that sounds like a frustrating situation. Hopefully more charging options become available in the future.

@GearheadGlam no. It's not just us. Illinois,Kansas, and Missouri all are EV deserts for most of the states. Elon is not building more charging. EA is shit. No one even sells EVsl. Even big cities like New York need more chargers. Worse Biden and the EPA forcing BEVs. I'm. In the GEV and GYEV camps. We had 30 years to switch to CNG. Yet Ford stopped making there trucks on the USA. Tuktuks still do. GM had 3 EVs and killed them all. Yet they were saved from Bankruptcy. Steam was not allowed to evolve after Doyle's death. Frisker can get funding to fail..but not the Tarta.

Compressed air is best in big trucks because it takes a large volume but doesn't add weight, trains will be ideal , another advantage a Compressed air engine in conjunction with fuel is 3 times more powerful, the reason is a 2 stroke without the compression wich take 40% of a ice engine.

Lithium is not an rare earth element. It is an alkali metal like sodium or potassium etc. The volumetric specific energy storage capability of compressed air (47 Wh/l @ 300 bar) is by far less than that of an electric battery (Li-Ion Battery 500 Wh/l).

It just doesn't make sense from a simple physics perspective. When you compress air into a tank, part of the energy is stored as mechanical energy (the pressure of the contained air) and part as heat. If you have ever pumped up a bicycle, you know how hot the business end of the pump gets. If you used this energy immediately, while the contained gas is still hot and hence at a higher pressure, you would get a reasonable percentage of the energy you used for compression back to power a vehicle. But that is not how we drive. We fill up the tank, charge the battery(actuallly by reversing a chemical reaction but let's not quibble) and then drive and leave the car in the garage till next time. If you are using petrol or electricity, the energy you have obtained by filling a tank with petrol or a battery with electricity remains in the car for your next drive. Not so with compressed air. No matter how good the insulation is on the air tank, the heat leaks out. Now, the pressure of a body of air, all things being equal, is proportional to the absolute temperature so the pressure slowly goes down as the heat leaks away. You are loosing energy to power your vehicle. It simply can't be very efficient.

Jet engines might not be the best fit for every situation. There are various factors that go into choosing the right type of engine for different applications.

Compressed air tank will be quite challenging to stuff all over the car to get any usable volume and anyone who ever used high-pressure compressor to fill scuba tank knows these are maintenance intensive due to need to separate moisture from air being compresed,so the regenerative compression and car built in compressor will be an interesting . Also interesting will be collision protected tanks , as when scuba tanks go pop inside of a car they open up a car like bomb went off.
