There is a true offroad Icon in the USA and it's called Jeep!
My opinion on the TRUE AMERICAN off-roader! since 1941! also the 20th Anniversary Wrangler.

Great review. I’ve started looking at the 392’s. Three of them at the dealership now, all non-XRs. So I appreciate your reviews. I’ll probably wait until next spring to get one but it’s certainly high on my list of things I want.

I ordered a 20A jeep. I agree it is not enough to trade in. Right now the 20A edition is the only way to get the XR package.

I originally was after an XR in Snazzberry. Then they discontinued XR package right when I was looking to buy IN 2022. I didn't want to lose out on the discontinued color so bought a non XR. Gearing is the only thing I really miss. But I probably get better gas mileage because of it! Lol.

Cycle through your display and you can see the 4cyl. Icon come on when it drops into 4cyl.

Another great video....Question for you - When Im driving around 30 -40 MPH in Offroad plus the exhaust note sounds off. Almost like the valve is partially closed until I give it some throttle and it sounds like a beast again. Have you ever noticed that? Thanks again for making these videos...

Is it dropping into 4 cylinder? my 22 non XR drops into 4 cylinder almost all the time when I am just cruising at a steady speed in OFFROAD+. especially when I'm on flat roads. I noticed it didn't do it as often when I was in the mountains.

@@2kviper877 I think you're correct... It must be going into 4 cylinder mode because the exhaust sounds different -like a 4 cylinder.

Question: I own a 392 XR and I, like you, absolutely love it. Do you think the 392 is better suited for the sand in Florida (I had a Mojave) or rock crawling in Colorado? I noticed that you commented on some rocks on a Florida trail. On camera, they don't appear too menacing. If the Rubicon can climb 40-degree canyon walls and crawl over serious rocks, why were those particular rocks so menacing? Just trying to get your perspective. Do I have a clearance issue running stock in the XR? Thanks, AV8OR

The 392 just powers through the soft sugar sand. Mash the gas pedal and spin your way out or just barely touch the gas and the torque will power its way slowly forward. So yes in my opinion it is the best Jeep I've had in the sand - stock

Those particular rocks are nasty. The sand and/ or mud in the tire tracks compresses and you end up dropping really close to the rocks. I go up and over them.

Are you not interested in the 20th anniversary because of the minor changes? I just picked up my factory ordered 23XR a couple of weeks ago ,but on Monday I received the confirmation for a 20th anniversary 392. So I’m not sure how or what to do. What’s your opinion?

The 20th anniversary is a nice package with quality parts. Can't beat AEV. I was just expecting ( maybe hoping) Jeep would do something as crazy as they did with the 392, something over the top and crazy. If you can get one do it.. you will always be able to sell it if needed.. I just didn't feel I needed to trade up at the current moment. Any 392 is a hell of a package stock!

This is my first Jeep so I’m blown away with it all. lol I have no intentions on getting rid of it but I definitely have similar thoughts about the 20th anniversary and the ability to sell it. I didn’t select the AEV package though. I just really hate I didn’t get my confirmation until after I picked up my current 23. But thanks for the input I really enjoy your channel.

What are your thoughts about running 37s on stock non XR? Do you think the power loss will be noticeable specailly in accleration?

The 392 has so much power not really sure how noticeable it would be even with 37s. Maybe a few tenths slower in the 0 - 60. Overall I don't think the engine would even care. It's a brute!
