Love the front bumper. I have the same on on my JK. Was in an accident a few weeks ago and it bent my frame rails but barely damaged the bumper. Those are a beast. They actually used the bumper as a attachment point to pull the frame back into alignment before they put the new one on.

Last time I wheeled down there were for the two "jeep jamboree's way back in ... .. well it was 15-20 years ago, and I don't remember the years (getting old I guess up here in Fairbanks). Nice overview for the mods and organization on the jeep though. It's making me more and more convinced to purchase a 2020 Rubicon (2 door) and beef it up a little as a photo transport rig.

Go watch the Unsealed 4x4 winch cable failure test on KZbin, synthetic lines definitely seem to recoil at a dangerous speed. Not to the same degree as steel cables did but I wouldn't stand near a synthetic cable either. This guy, Ryan, seems to think otherwise.
@drtstar15 жыл бұрын
Morgan Griffith nope. I don’t think otherwise. You should always practice safety when winching or strapping. I’ve seen people seriously injured with cable. I’ve also seen people hit with hooks and chains. That being said, synthetic are the lesser of the evils.

Brad, how did you mount the shovel on the Tailgate Reinforcement kit on the back of that Jeep. I have the Quick Fist clamps, but not sure where you bolted them. The standard bolt holes holding the tailgate reinforcement isn't high enough for the lower clamp to hold a shovel like that. Just curious, it seems an awesome way to carry a shovel, especially a dirty shovel.

That was pretty slick putting a plug in the axle tube, what did you use?
@drtstar15 жыл бұрын
Tain Ballantyne it’s a hydraulic tank oil cap. It’s 2-1/4 diameter and made of rubber. When you tighten the T handle it expands to plug the hole. They also make Rubber freeze plugs that work on the same premise.
