Very interesting, congratulations. Could you tell me what benefits it brings to the car?

A slip yoke eliminator kit shortens your transfer case, which then necessitates a longer driveshaft. A longer driveshaft means you'll have a flatter drivetrain angle, reducing vibrations and wear on drivetrain parts if your Jeep has an agressive lift installed.

Just installed a sye kit from Advance Adapters, with a Tom Woods custom driveshaft on my 98 XJ. Gotta say, its well worth the cost. This has to be one of the best mods for any lifted jeep!!!!

Hey thanks for the awesome video. I watched your video of the SYE install the other day so now I'm ready to order the SYE kit and new driveshaft. Your videos are super informative and very well filmed. It is people like you that have given me the confidence to carry out all the mechanical upgrades on my own TJ myself which has given me a huge amount of satisfaction over the last 10 years or so. Thanks.

Would a 2.5 inch lift require a pinion and driveshaft alignment...? thanks nice vide
@ATEMOFFROAD Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily with that lift , but I do suggest a minimum of 3/4” transfer case drop. Here is 1” and it’s good for up to 3” not the most conducive, but is an option. Best option is what you see here in this video for any size lift. 🍻amzn.to/48XTYrB

Hey nice set up and like all your videos. I’m new to all this and since I have a 03’ Wrangler tj that I plan on lifting I would want to do it the right way the way you did . So can you tell me where to buy the yok and new shaft . I feel that’s where I would want to start first before I even buy the 4” lift kit. Thanks and any advice that you feel would help would really appreciate it thanks 👍
@ATEMOFFROAD Жыл бұрын
This is the most conducive way for off-roading the tj. The best places to get the parts are adams driveshaft or Tom wood’s driveshaft, your going to want to install the lift first that way you can take the measurements for the driveshaft sizing. Thanks for watching 🍻

Thank you for the video; both videos actually. I've seen a couple others but so far yours are better. I'm ready to do the same to my 2002 TJ. It came with a 4" lift with a transfer case drop. I bought the Advance Adapters SYE kit and planning to go with either Tom Wood's or Adams DC driveshaft. If you don't mind I have a couple of questions: 1. The shock relocation brackets; are those needed because of the axle's change in angle? 2. The gear oil that drains (@ 4:53), is that what is called "gear oil"? That goes in the transmission? 3. Did you have any issues with the gear shifter (inside the cabin)? 4. I'm assuming you had to remove both rear upper arms and then adjust the pinion angle? Or did you do one by one? Any suggestions for that step? Thanks again for the videos, these will be my guide when I'm doing my install.
@ATEMOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
Yes the relocation brackets are for when the axle is pointed up the coil buckets (mounts on axle) don’t hit the body of the shock! I have a manual transmission so it takes gear oil! If you have an automatic transmission you will need automatic transmission fluid most likely the same as what the transfer case accepts! No issues with the gear shifter after the t-case drop delete and back to factory setup! Watch my diy 4” lift video where I explained those issues with the shifter. And yes both upper arms come off then the pinion angle is set and the new adjustable arms are to be installed which lock in the correct pinion angles! Hope this helps and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask any time ! Thanks for watching
