Points mentioned in this video are: 1. Don't goof off during lecture & don't randomly use other applications. 2. Try to avoid the temptation of thinking that you're going to watch recorded videos of your lectures & missing your classes. 3. Focus on your lecture/class & don't lag behind. It's difficult to catch up. 4. Take notes during classes even if you're getting the notes digitally. 5. Try to have a dedicated study space (If possible). 6. Try to be present in your class and respond during the classes. 7. Try to attend classes as if you're attending it offline & get ready with the same intent. 8. Emphasis on handwritten notes but you can't write everything so download stuffs and organise them. Use folder for organizing like separate folders for assignment, tutorial, module, etc. 9. Always keep a backup of important material (Incase of a technical glitch). 10. Assuming if this is going to be the last online semester, enjoy your ghar ka khana ( Your mom's home made food).

So true. This video makes a lot of sense not only for college students, but also for school children. One of the most affected profession due to this pandemic is Teaching. Teachers who have been used to black board and chalk piece, have to learn new things in computer and teach the kids. I have seen my kids teachers coming up with beautiful presentation for children, for which they have to do lot of homework at home apart from their usual household chores. A big salute to all the teachers 🙏🙏 Few points which u have said relates very much to my kids, like cluttering the desktop with screenshots. For school going children, there is different set of challenges. Since I was at home, it was not difficult to monitor my kids during their class hours, but for working parents it was a difficult task. I have seen teachers repeatedly calling these kids names, with no response at the other end. Really useful and informative video.

1:00 Mindset -> 1. Give Feedback to the professor, and give them politely( for improvement in quality of teaching) 2. Treat Online classes as Offline classes( Be Serious) 3. Dont fall in trap, of watching recorded classes( it will piled up) so watch it LIVE 4:31 DURING Actual classes-> 1. Have laptops ( even 2nd Hand laptop will be Ok) (Will benefit in CV ) 2. Setup a Morning routine( so you have a habit) 3. Take Notes LIVE, make a separate notebook for every subject 4. Be mentally present ( be interactive with the professor) 5. Have things locally(download Study material in your computer), make it ready at your hand, make them organized ( using folders & sub-folders) 15:45 Assignments and tests-> 1. maintain deadline ( best do before the deadline) 2. OnlineTest Will be difficult and not direct , So prepare thoroughly

Or photoshop is another way. 5.Thumbnail is very important if u make good content , because thumbnail is first impression on the video , no matter what is inside the video is. So it generates CTR(click through rate).if it will good then more no. of students will click it. Video will get more reach. 6.Also focus on video editing if u want , recommended software->shortcut, openshot, blender etc. 7.Always mention your socials like instagram,linkdin in descriptions,( if u want ).let the people know abt you .If u try to connect everything like bidirectional connected graph . Then it will help the students. 8.Always let the people know , what u gonna do next. Like if are making some lectures then let the people know what is it , how it will help. It may be in forms of reels like 1 & 2 minutes. Because reels get more views. 9.Try to understand the audience what they expect from you and what they want. So comment section is always osm. 10.Always see brighter , because their may be negative Comments and whatever. 11.Last but not least , content matter most , if video is adding value to the life of more no of students, it will get more reach.And you are really osm sir tbh. And if u feels take some points.

Great video sir, really, all the points that you've mentioned are very correct, I'm speaking from experience. Before the pandemic hit, I was a very unorganised and clumsy kind of guy, I used to do most of the things that you've said not to do. But when classes began online and everything started piling up, notes not being available and not performing well in the exams, I decided that this is enough and I am not going to go like this. From my 4th semester onwards, I made notebooks for all the core courses and prepared hand written notes, interacted more with the faculties, took additional courses to further my knowledge and organised all the files on my local PC. This really helped me, in terms of my scores in exams as well as my knowledge. P.S. My batchmates kind of make fun of me, saying that I'm still in school because I make individual notebooks and things like that, but now I understand that is okay, being made fun of (that too in a light hearted manner )is nothing when compared to getting stressed at the last moment for your notes and lecture material :) Thank you for the video sir!

insightful tips that will actually help with maximum effect. i agree with everything other than the part of taking notes - i believe that most of the reference material should be provided/available at some cost and some side notes are fine. rather students should be fully attentive during student-teacher interaction. that is how children are habituated to study in school - they already have a text book and it is just marked with custom notes
@Prof_JC3 жыл бұрын
Call me old-fashioned but I personally trust the traditional time-tested way of learning which involves heavy use of writing and working through the study material with one's hands. Such a method can create deep connections in creates in one's mind ... something that I am afraid no amount of ready-made notes can equal. I'd like to add here that this does not mean that the prof should not provide proper reference and study materials. Student has his duties, but so does the prof.

Sir, regarding linux part, one don't necessarily need to install linux distro, there is a feature called windows subsystem for linux(wsl) in windows 10 which can be installed and one can have linux terminal in windows. It is not always easy to install an operating system or dual boot a laptop. Moreover, with wsl, you don't have to lose GUI of windows.
@Prof_JC3 жыл бұрын
The reason I had suggested Linux was to make an old, possibly second-hand, machine usable. In my experience, even booting Windows on an old machine is a pain. On the other hand, Linux can run relatively smoothly even on such an old machine. However, if one wishes to dip one's toes into the unfamiliar Linux waters for the first time WSL can indeed be the way to go.

@Prof_JC3 жыл бұрын
Something similar used to happen to me too. But I can suggest a little hack. What I used to do sometimes during a class, particularly at a point where the teacher was perhaps going a little slowly, was to deliberately look out of the window ... just staring at the trees ... and deliberately letting my mind wander. So I would be conscious that I was not paying attention (because I was not looking at the teacher) ... this would relax my mind a bit (because staring at nature is always great) and it would also force me quickly back to paying attention. I don't know if this makes sense to you, but it kind of worked for me.

Good morning sir, I am a class 6th student, I am from Kolkata. My goal is to become a civil worker (IAS) I want to serve my country. I am currently reading the book , Indian Polity by M.Laxmikanth. I also learned coding on my own (self taught, exploring on github or stackoverflow or KZbin). I know a quite languages like Python, Java, C, C++, Html, CSS, Javascript. I also have a interest in business and I know some concepts like Brand equity, Fundamentals of a business, difference between QSR and FSR , Stock market, PE ratio, etc. Your videos really gave me motivation as I used to think that the situation in higher level institutions are hectic , so when I will grow up I will, have to struggle but you proved it wrong. You are a really fun teacher and make concepts crystal clear. Your this video too helped me alot as my school has also adopted online curriculum and I am trying to cope up with it from the last year. Your video really made me notice the mistakes I was making. Thank you so much sir. And I will be very delighted if you reply to this comment and give it a heart. - Your subscriber and follower , Abhiraj

You sure you are in Std. 6?!! :) If you are indeed able to soak up that much at this age, it is truly phenomenal. However, as you grow a bit older perhaps it may not be a bad idea to channel your energies in a more focussed way. Since you would have had a broad spectrum of reading experiences by then, I am sure you will be able to decide in a truly informed way. All the best ... and it would indeed be great if I end up getting you as a student!

I think coding isn't required for civil services .It is better to develop leadership skills by participating in sports at an young age .These things lack in this world and will set you truly apart from others.

Sir same problem with me....I don't know our college's prof are good in teaching or not...I am in my 3rd year of Mechanical Engineering and I have barely attend a full online class with full concentration..I feel very bored...I prefer to watch lectures from youtube and from different Academy's and prepare for the semester.I always think if I can have the option to take Lesson from the best teachers of our country so should we waste our time by attending college's boring lecture?..If the classes held in offline that's the different matter...we like or not we should have done our classes and gain some knowledge as well...But in our college professor's teaching style,some time lagging, Sometimes Background noise, sometimes internet glitch that really annoys us.

I completely understand. If you can map the contents of your syllabus with the resources available online, the you can indeed cover thd shortfall.
