What's not to love here? Runaway is one of my alltime favorites, and Tom Petty with Jeff Lynne and the Heartbreakers playing the hell out of it. This is one to treasure.

Lynee steps up to the plate for the yanks here and smashes all the way out of the park - if ever anyone wonders what a supergroup was like The Travelling Wilburys were it. Down to two left now, but I am so grateful that I lived to hear them. Was walking down a mall in Australia yesterday I could hear a guy on guitar and a double bass doing good version acoustically so I trudged the 100 metres. They were good, now while Del Shannon's is great I just love anything JL does. Thanks for posting!

Sweet performance, everyone seemed so happy , great energy , it’s funny in the beginning b/c when they announce Jeff Lynne you can hear this lady with excitement over above all the rest of the audience a little loud saying “OMG” very nice performance!🥳✨

can you imagine the set list if these two ever did a tour together?? thanks for posting!

+tim65s My guess is that Jeff Lynne's ELO will be the opener for the Heartbreakers in 2016 on their "40th Anniversary Tour." The stars are lining up for it. ELO is touring the UK in April 2016.

+s2seltaeb that would be sheer genius!! Jeff Lynne wouldn't risk much on a halfhearted US fan base!

It was an amazing night for sure. If you haven't yet read Matt Laug's account of that night, check it out on his website, here: www.mattlaugdrums.com/single-post/2015/12/21/The-Dirty-Knobs-Tom-Petty-The-Heartbreakers-and-Jeff-Lynne-of-ELO Matt is the drummer for the Dirty Knobs, and he filled in for Steve Ferrone that night.

Jeff Lynne is definitely a big fan of Del Shannon... Jeff made a cameo at this show three years in a row, performing both Runaway and Roll Over Beethoven all three years. It was always great to watch Benmont play the organ solo.

@@s2seltaeb he wasnt just a big fan of him, he worked with him on Del's last album Rock On. Give it a listen, you get the usual brilliance of Del Shannon's voice with some Jeff Lynne style music

That moment when you realise that Strat you rocked all those years was just a bit pretentious and a tele was what you really should have played..
