Rosario has the kindest way of getting Jeff's attention when she wants to pet the animals or hold them. Oh no, I did not mean that and I don't even want to google what that is. I mean so called 'learned helplessness', which is about breaking animal's will. Of course you hear a lot about it regarding radical cases of elephants in Thailand and circus animals, but learned helplessness can be taught by punishment and negative and positive reinforcement. Basically the animals learn that there is no point in struggling because only unpleasant things follow.
