Not sure if you have an experience around animals, but elephants are FAR from the safest. It mostly has to do with size, but elephants are known to be very dangerous to work with. Even with training like this, it is not appropriate to have one interacting with people who are not trained without any sort of protective barrier. In accredited zoological institutions, protective barriers are required even with trainers.

@kenzers-9 жыл бұрын
wolflordjsww then don't bring the elephant on...? simple as that. bull hooks are awful, they hook them behind the ear and it's just not cool. you can totally get an elephant to respect you if you respect it and show it love and such. reputable elephant "owners" or whatever respect their elephant. they're very smart animals and are fully capable of being respectful and easy with humans as seen with elephant handlers who are actually good to their elephants.
@Jasonwolf14959 жыл бұрын
kenzers that's why its an emergency tool. Theres nothing more efficient that a leveraged spear. Its there to do minimal harm to the animal compared to any other method. Some people might jump to say tranquilizer, but they fail to realize how slow that is, and when it passes out it will fall over: injuring itself, others, and damaging property. Its an animal. It will be treated as an animal. We don't jab it with spears to get it out there, or to make it do the tricks. We use it when the animal begins to act in a way that it could become a danger. So long as it doesn't become a risk its peanuts all the way.

I believe the type of awareness this creates is plain entertainment and its just as beneficial as people "liking" a Instagram post about saving dolphins. Fallon and his audience is not to be judged, because they obviously don't know any better and just want to be entertained at the expense of dear Roxy. If I thought this animal was abused in anyway I would have voiced that opinion on here and done what I could to help. Take a seat.
@john33333Ай бұрын
@@JaymiLei Well, you are just wrong. Any elephant “performing” in this way has been heavily abused. No elephants ever naturally do these types of movements. Not only was this elephant trained by bullhook, but it lives in constant fear of that pain by the reminder of the person behind the elephant with a large bullhook. The woman next to the elephant also likely has a smaller bullhook that is less visible to the public. The elephant has only learned to “follow” her commands because of the abusive, painful training and continued, constant presence of a “trainer” carrying a bullhook. This elephant in particular comes from an abusive circus that was shut down for its abusive practices, and she is now owned and rented out by the same abusive individual who owned the circus. We know that she was abused and continues to face abuse. Try educating yourself before praising animal abusers, especially if you are going to act all holier than thou while being 100% wrong.

However, it's clear she wasn't able to be released after being taken out of the circus.. and some animals in captivity enjoy the enrichment, such as dolphins (that are cared for by reputable places like Marine Land in St. Augustine Florida). I wrote this comment 7 years ago! I likely made an attempt to research this man. Either way, screw you, you have no idea how much I do for and care for all animals... again I literally help fund several places.. When I saw those hooks things I was like no no no no. Everytime I see those, I see a lot of darkness involved with elephants. It just bothers me a lot >.>

WonderEmporium almost crying for this. Terrible.
@sarahgallichon56094 жыл бұрын
WonderEmporium actually those hooks most abusive people use are wrongly used. Used properly, as seen on this clip, it is meant to guide by gentle pressing. Not by jabbing or stabbing the elephant. These guys know what they are doing. Never once did the elephant retaliate to the stick.

The more I see elephants the more loving, friendly, trusting and caring they appear to me. Breaks my heart that men hunt them because they don’t feel “manly” enough. Can’t play a normal sport so they call murdering a sport. You hunt an elephant then you deserve hell. She is BEAUTIFUL.
@Jonny946694 жыл бұрын
Err you know that women pay to go hunting in Africa too, right? lmfao

Jeff Musial has had multiple infractions against him in reference to how he has treated animals in his care. Also the elephant used in this segment was taken from its mother in the wild and has been on display for nearly 30 yrs for the sake of human entertainment. Pitiful.

Elephants are so sensitive to noise. In case of attack, one can literally save his/her life by beating a spoon on metal surface. And here we are, yelling, laughing and screaming while sitting in the audience..
