I’ve had 3 Rekluse’s now. One in my Yamaha’s WR400 & WR450 and now the KTM 350EXC-F. I got the 1st one when I broke a few fingers on the clutch hand. Never had an issue with the Rekluses and it makes riding the rock gardens so easy. Just pick a line and go for it, no fear of stalling. I also have mine setup so they don’t freewheel going downhill. I’m an old man (66) now and I can understand why the younger guys don’t want to give them a try. To each his own.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the great video. I have ran Rekluses on my bikes for years now. I appreciate that you provided an update for the new TBI motors. Rekluse makes amazing products, provides excellent customer service and continues to progress with the improvements of the bike engines, hence the new 4.0. The Rekluse gives more control on the technical sections, no stalling and amazing traction control. Cheers, Daniel/WA state
@robh3267 Жыл бұрын
Probably the best mod I've ever done to my 300 was installing a Rekluse, it made it so much easier to ride, I can usually ride everything a gear higher, I think you hit it right on the head when you said that people that don't like them didn't have them setup right, you still have full use of the clutch but with added benefits, and traction is greatly improved, what's not to like, I even fabricated my own left hand rear brake which helps in so many situations with bike control.
@mikeb4708 Жыл бұрын
I have ridden them before and I can see advantages of it. One of the things I don’t like is having to blip the throttle on downhills to get the engine breaking engaged. Although I will say that I wouldn’t want to ride Moab without one!

I would be interested to know what you think of a Brembo master cylinder with a 9mm plunger. The 9mm vs the 10mm stock is supposed to make the clutch pull easier since it pushes less fluid and effectively makes the clutch pull a wider range. I was thinking about using that in combination with the Rekluse TorqDrive clutch pack. That pack uses 11-12 steel clutch disks. They are supposed to reduce fade in the clutch compared to the stock aluminum disks. They also reduce the range of pull for clutch engagement. Finally, they are supposed to be better at transferring torque to the rear wheel which, from what I understand, is good for traction. It seems that clutch pack would complement a bike setup for low end torque via 12t sprocket, FMF Gnarly pipe, medium compression head, and a tune of sorts.
@slaverace1Ай бұрын
Hello: Yes, the 9mm Brembo will reduce clutch pull BUT you can accomplish the same thing with a lot less hassle and expense by installing an Alt Rider lever >>>> slavensracing.com/shop/mac-clutch-lever-for-ktm-hqv-gg-by-altrider/ . I'm a fan of Rekluse products but installing the Torque Drive plates will make very little difference and the stock plates are NOT aluminum and clutch fade on KTMs is very rare. Apparently you have drank the marketing Koolaid. I would not waste money on plates unless yours are smoked. KTM clutches are the toughest in the industry.

@firffighter Жыл бұрын
I have always set mine up to engage immediately and pulse at idle. Each bike can take a few peculiar different strategies in order to get that perfect Rekluse performance. I've owned many different bikes and brands and not one is identical in Rekluse setup in order to reach the desired engagement. For instance, the Beta 4-strokes do not have an idle adjustment, so you cannot increase idle in order to fine tune and get the pulse. I'm running the Radius X on my current YZ250FX and it takes a few little tricks besides running the lighter springs to get it precisely dialed as it's a small bore 4-stroke and any excess in slip can rob power delivery and you can't afford to lose power in certain situations here in the PNW when riding a 250F. One obvious trick is increasing the idle just enough to keep the bike pulsing and the engagement right at idle. The YZ250FX has idle adjustment. Then, running a more aggressive map which keeps the power delivery strong enough to take away any excess slip from the Rekluse. I have mine absolutely dialed in now on the YZ250FX and anyone riding my bike would not be able to tell it has a Rekluse. They're an effective tool if setup properly.

My 2020 come standard with 3 gold extra heavy duty and 3 blue heavy duty springs. It was a pig and wouldn’t engage and disengage like it should. I have a 2021 350 XC-F with a CX Rekluse & I run the lightest springs. It's as close to a manual setup as I can get. Got the Rekluse to help reduce the engine braking & reduce rider fatigue, it smooths everything out but still has great bite down low when needed. It can be setup based on rider ability & terrain type. If you're a C level rider on technical terrain you want a softer engagement (at a higher rpm). It'll save you energy, prevent stalling & give you more time to make decisions on line choice. If you're an A level rider you'll like it to engage like a normal clutch (at a lower rpm) & will be happier with less engine braking.
