We put milk over it along with a little bit of extra sugar, it is amazing that way. Now with peach or apple cobbler we always put vanilla ice cream on them. My grandma used to make cobbler with pie dough. She had a patch of wild rhubarb and gooseberries near the house and when I was a little boy I'd pick em so she could make cobblers. I don't know if y'all have gooseberries in your neck of the woods but they are super sour. We used to have a contest to see who could eat the most gooseberries without making a face. Grandma always won. Nothing quite like a bowl of fresh out of the oven cobbler and homemade ice cream. Thanks for sharing.

Once a person learns to cook in it and take care of it they will throw away all the space age stuff. I still remember the days of Mama's Black Berry Cobbler with real cows butter from our own cows. Butter was our substitute for Ice Cream. Ice Cream was for the wealthy. Maybe every few years we would have some homemade Ice Cream. Preciate yall too.

@@jeffbarron70 you can do ANYTHING! You are very talented as are most farmers and country folk, more than most will ever know. I come from a family born and raised in the country, especially during the depression. We couldn't afford to call people in to do things for us or to fix and build everything so we had to learn it all for ourselves! City slickers (too lazy, helpless) will never understand and they think they are the smart ones? If ever the SHTF they will all whine and starve! This virus care has proven it all the more! You and your daughter ROCK! You are the "Chuck Norris" of doing work! You'd scare him as far as work ethic and ability! You make me feel lazy in comparison, but then again I'm older? Peach cobbler reminds me of the Boy Scouts, made every time we went camping. But what pissed me off was I hated Peaches. Sometimes we would have a big camp and they would make several peach cobblers, Which really pissed me off. No one thought maybe someone would like something different like blueberry, apple, etc. No they would make a dozen fucking pots all peach. That's OK though I'd get my share and trade it for someones extra cocoa or something. It's a shame the Liberals and perverts ruined Boy Scouts.

While that melts mix together- 1 cup of SR flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup of milk Can of fruit When butter is sizzling pour mixture in pan then fruit in the middle. Cook till done. If using peaches or any fruit that's good with cinnamon add that in with flour

My grandma was Irish, 5' nothin' and don't think she weighed 90lbs and took that 80 year old 12" cast iron with two hand and smacked my dad right square in the head knocking him right over. She stood over him like a pitbull telling him that she heard enough! It was, and to this day the funniest thing I ever saw! I might've been 6 or 7. I miss her dearly!

ok, hubby is subscribed to you, and we are watching this video right now.... im sure its going to taste great...but .... with that particular recipe..... I am thinking you melt the butter, in the pan, LEAVE IT THERE>.. then make the batter with the 1 cup of sugar... put the 1/2 cup sugar in with the berries... once the butter is melted IN THE PAN.. then you put the batter, then you put the berries with the 1/2 cup sugar... then with the 2 T left of sugar, you put that on TOP of the berries before baking... HOWEVER, is saying that...... it looks amazing! put the sugar in the berries for about an hour before you start, it wills tart to make a juice.... you can use this base for most any fruit....
