"Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" is Netflix's new series starring Evan Peters as the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. However, the show is bringing memories of Dahmer's vile deeds flooding back to his survivors. Preston Davis, who was sexually assaulted by him, says he felt more empathy for the victims' families. Billy Joe Capshaw, who was also sexually assaulted by Dahmer in the Army, says the show is bringing back horrible memories.

The victim’s sister speaking clip was heartbreaking. Knowing that some crazy guy sexually assaulted, drugged, killed, and ate your sibling is not easy to get past. She really expressed her emotions toward Jefferey. We’ll remember what that sicko did to at least 17 people.

i saw this one part from the documentary, where a lady tried to save the youngest victim, the 14 year old boy. but when she got to him and she and dahmer fought over the boy and the police finally came, they barely listened to her and only listened to dahmer, just because she was black. in the end, the police let the boy go with dahmer. truly disgusting.

I didnt watch the documentary, but i do know that 1 person called the police. Not the beighbor, but Ms.Cleveland. when the boy ran out the apartment, she called about that. Then she called a check up on him. Then she called to say he was the missing boy. Only 1 person ever called, she called approximately 4 times about the boy.

I honestly think this is one of the very few true crime series that has honored the victims. I wasn’t even a huge fan of the Ted bundy film, they just made the victims nameless people who died at his hands. But with Dahmer they dove into the victims lives, which is honestly so important. Tony Hughes episode made me cry in a way I haven’t in a long time. It’s truly so heartbreaking that so many suffered at the hands of this man, because there were SO many times this man should have been caught. I also loved how accurate it was, down to the outfits. His victims were really brought back to light and shown as the beautiful souls that they were. ❤️

I was on the edge of my seat when I thought dahmer was gonna let him go. But, you cant expect much from the devil itself. The way they set up Tony’s life is amazing, they were trying to spread the message that, these weren’t just the victims of a mass serial killer, they were actual people with a family and friends.. real people who had real lives, and all of it was taken by the hands of one man.

We got to see a side to the case we haven’t really seen. the families and victims perspective, and the injustice taken place. i enjoy true crime, and i thought i knew this case inside out, but the Netflix series really emphasized how disgusting the things he did were and opens your eyes a bit more. not that i didn’t believe they were disgusting and horrible before, i just think that it’s so hard to imagine a human being doing such things that you almost can’t believe or begin to comprehend it. when you really get such an accurate visual about what happened, it starts to really sink in that this is a real person that actually did these things. it’s not a made up story. everything is real and still hurts people to this day

I visited my family in Wisconsin the year after this happened. There was only 4 apartments still occupied in that entire apartment building. I'm glad they tore it down. So creepy being outside of it even though I was sitting in a car. My aunt said she used to see "him" walking to work in the morning and just gave her the creeps. Although I remember this very well, on the news, etc., I'd like to still watch the series. I remember it being on the news about the guy who got away and ran to the police department and he was "returned" after the police were convinced this was a lover's quarrel. That absolutely broke my heart and I feel like those law enforcement officials should have been held accountable for his (and other's) murders. Rest in heaven to all the victims and may God give their families complete and utter peace.

Never being loved, always being abandoned, emotional trauma consistently, complete social outcast, medicated while he was in the womb, hated by his mother, father who taught him to enjoy taking animals apart, personally disorder, battling with his sexuality and list goes on and on. There’s a scripture in the Bible that talks about how a persons trauma/demons can go onto others, I believe this is what we saw unfold. I bet you won’t take a drink from a random stranger now if you had no clue about Jeff’s story.. i get it’s traumatizing for the families but ppl need to know these things can happen and did happen.
