you have the speed mate.. just need to commit to some gnarlier lines to take that 1-2 seconds by lap like jett does.. not a comparison.. but line up in the gate with a top front guy mentality will permit you to have the courage to commit to those type of lines and be up front..

The one thing that i will say is that keep it smooth keep it loose, and keep on the gas. The one thing i noticed with a lot of riders now adays is they dont carry speed while on the throttle. you deffentally have the speed to be up in the top 20. You have proved that. Capitalize on just being loose and on the throttle. let the bike control you with your input.

Jeff, the guy you filmed at Glen Helen was riding a gear taller and flowing boundary to boundary using the whole track. The speed will come from getting creative with opening up the corners, minimize breaking and maximizing acceleration time, right? The C class main lines at supercoop for example are not worth practicing. Carve your own path brother. Outsmart the other guys. Don't follow.

Turns turns turns that's the key to faster lap times. I have a couple ideas for u but you might not want to hear them from a old mixer. You will need your dad's help or a friend to help u. Have one said where u let off going into turn next lap when u get to them it both brakes you will stop way before u need to . So after that have that person take full or half steps toward turn stay on gas to them then back do this till you blow through the turn take step back the re es your stopping point. Same process for coming out of turn stand where your back on gas move half step so you get on gas faster you will find if u can do this in every turn u can your lap times will come down. At your level everyone jumps some find different rhythm but turn speed is key. Just my 2 cents maybe it could help you.

Other people have said it on here. Gear higher, use that torgue of the 450 to "drag" you around the track. You don't seem to to carry speed through corners like some do?/ Maybe that way the bike is more settled, suspension is working better, NOT reacting to hard acceleration/hard braking all the time. The hard acceleration/braking will wear you out quicker as well. Smooth is fast. Just my 2 cents worth.........

@_.momjeans_92194 ай бұрын
I’m always going to advocate going to a training facility because that’s literally where you go to get faster however I’m not oblivious to the fact they are really expensive. You’ve made it pretty clear you want better results and we know that too so id recommend perhaps getting a on the bike trainer at a smaller facilty or perhaps just hammering out some money races with other local pros and just getting in some really good technique work on the bike. It’s also not secret that this day in age of racing is heavily influenced by bike skill and as a viewer I can visually see where you lack in some areas especially with elbow dropping haha tall guy issues I know. Anyhow just trying to give some input if you want to be better you’ll find ways too if you’ve proven anything over the years on KZbin is that you got one of the best hard work ethics out there and you’ll obtain anything you set forth in your path. Keep grinding and striving for more. #841 #TTP

The only difference that really stood out to me from Robin's onboard footage was his momentum. It's stark. I would focus on that, personally. A lot of that may be bike setup, but if he's pulling a tenth of a second a section on momentum alone It's a second a lap from a learnable technique rather than some inate talent, fitness, or horsepower barrier. Aggression looks fast, feels fast, but hardly ever is outside of braking. Line selection and momentum looks boring, but it puts nice numbers on the stopwatch and with less energy.

Just curious - Are you friends / friendly / close to Matt Burkeen?... I think the 2 of you have the Best Independant / Privateer MX YT channels - by far!... He just switched from 250 2 stroke to 450 4 stroke ... and seems you guys are pretty close in qualifiers and finishes... Just thought if the 2 of you could get together - push each other, etc... maybe , just maybe you could both get up further in the ranks?... ALSO: You mentioned a long time ago - that you were going to focus more on the race at hand - rather than the video on your helmet/chest - and not tape the actual motos any longer (I think 2 years ago), and you had A GREAT SEASON!! You had thought that the need to concentrate on the camera for "the shot", was distracting you from being 100% into your race mode focus... Could that still be the case? NOT that any of us want you to stop filming the actual races - but perhaps only film the qualifiers - and LCQ's, and leave the actual Moto's for others to film - so you can be 1000% immersed in it... Just a thought.... Good Luck at Southwick (my old home track in the mid - late 70's!)!.....
