I’m planning on keeping my SBC but I am doing research on how to make the AC better. There’s people doing a parallel flow condenser plus a sanden compressor and then all the sound and heat insulation and end all that with a good electric fan setup you’ll be able to sit in Texas heat no problem just like new trucks.

Sorry for the delay! I actually had the plastic insert fail. It may have gone in a little crooked...or maybe didnt lock properly. But whatever the reason it sprayed gas all over my hot engine. Luckily I had spare plastic inserts and got it going again. I also had another let loose in a different application. I like the screw lock style SO much better.
