I love this version, I like the other version too, but this I just gives the song it's uff. It's hot and steamy, if it makes you feel awkward, I think that's good, it gives you a feeling right away and that means you were paying attention.

sorry just wanna hop in and say as a person who actually watched this in theatre (aww connie you are wonderful) and found a recorded version of a theatre goer, the concept album is A LOT different from the one they perform on stage

This is a play that I recommend people do NOT read reviews first but just go see it. If you rely on reviews you'll be so confused because people either loved or hated it. I loved it.

I'm not the biggest fan of Constantine as Jekyll/Hyde, but good Lord he nailed this song. In my opinion it's the only time he swept the floor with Anthony and Robert

I just saw Jekyll and Hyde in Oklahoma and its the best Jekyll and Hyde I have seen yet ^_^ Sexy, edgy, and haunting! It really is a completely different take on the show. You will have chills though out the whole thing ^_^ All I can say is WOW, and he is sooo nice in person

Perhaps I'm just a fan of the more classic version... but this sounds like a weird 80s porn version of the song at some points...

i've never seen it at all, so here ends my whole Constantine obsession. Now I'm thinking King Diamond would have made a better Jekyll/Hyde

Krystal Harwood Not on stage, that's for sure. He's in his 60s. That'd stretch verisimilitude to its breaking point.

This is an...interesting remix, I guess. Constantine doesn't really have the voice for Jekyll/Hyde, though. It's too "pretty." Hyde needs to be menacing but still sexy. Constantine just sounds the way I imagine sparkly vampires sing. =P Too light of a sound, not enough growl. I don't fear for Lucy's life. He might throw some champagne in her face, but I doubt he'd cut her throat.

Everyone's saying this version made it too sexual but the Complete Thriller version sounds way more sexual than this. The lighter instrumentation makes that one feel so much more intimate and Warlow and Eder definently played it more that way. The OBC comes off pretty much the same. This comes off more like Music of the Night from Phantom. A seduction song, with both parties drawing in their partner. It comes off like a quid pro quo almost. The emphasis in this version is on the "game" part of the title. The emphasis in the other versions is on the "dangerous," as getting close to Hyde in any form would be. Those versions make it clear Hyde is in control. So this version humanizes Hyde a bit, since he's engaging in the trade off. That can be good or bad, depending on how the actor is playing it.

this is my favorite song on the Cuccioli version (which is my fave version) and while i get what theyre trying to do with this arrangement, making it sexier, i really don't like the instrumentals and Hyde's ghostly "Lucy" at the beginning. Constantine sounds amazing though. so upset i couldnt see this because my parents saw it with Robert Cuccilo and i would just like to see it live once in my lifetime. the tour stopped near my hometown but i couldnt go because of school :(

Love this the song if the sexual tone was removed. I always found Lucy to be more afraid of Hyde than she is sexually aroused by him.

I loved it on Broadway..... I met Frank Wildhorn for the first time after seeing every one of his shows multiple times.... CIVIL WAR, SCARLET PIMPERNEL, BONNIE AND CLYDE AND ON and on..... this song is hot..... mucho Caliente'..... does she get raped? it is that hot ...... the tension builds till he Mounts her !!! GO SEE IT
@CD-tj3hg9 жыл бұрын
I love how they put this in the category of "comedy" rather than "music." I don't blame you. Only reason I wasn't laughing was 'cuz this entire soundtrack just ruins the original! I got it out of my memory when I saw it on tour (Knezvich, not Maroulis).

+shadow strike Warlow is amazing but i have to give credits for a lot of songs to constantine, i think women would more likely be seduced by Constantine's Hyde rather then warlow's.

Bruno Dekeyser yeah right! sorry, grannies! but I love CM better! lol
@brunodekeyser76708 жыл бұрын
shadow strike Why the hell do you have to be so mad? I'm just stating that in terms of singing Warlow is amazing, wich he is, and i'm also stating that i like a lot of songs more with Maroulis wich means that they're both amazing singers, wich they are. I really don't see why you have to be pissed just because people have their own opinions, ok, you have yours, but that doesn't mean you have to be mad at people who think Warlow is a great singer.

awful? if you ever read the RLS novel, Constantine opens with a quote from it talking about the ''duality of man''. (Robert Louis Stevenson's novel) The other JnH versions never did that. the actors never quoted from his book. that's amazing!!

Krystal Harwood The 1994 concept album and Resurrection did it. Simply called "Prologue" before "I need to know"

This is just terrible. The singers are good, but the song lacks the power and passion of the original.
