Cranberry tea with some orange and lemon zest, just the tiniest bit of sweetener, plus the whipped cream and maybe a dash of cinnamon....yep I think I can do this. Thanks so much Anita🙏🏽 I love this💚 Last holiday season was my first Keto and first meat-eating holiday in 32 years 🤪 I made so many delicious dishes from All Day I Dream About Food. Then, this past March I found out about my breast cancer so I’ve been doing my best Carnivore using Paleomedicina’s diet since June. There have been a few stumbles on the way due to stress and poor time management (the things that always make cooking and measuring last priority)… but with support I’m back on the Carnivore wagon. I do seem to be an Abstainer but am still a little sad about this😆admittedly. I do love my fruit and dark chocolate. It was hard to get off the erythritol products but I feel much better now without them. The sweet taste is a very hard thing for me to deal with. All this to say that I would be honored to try this jello for USA Thanksgiving and Christmas 💚 My Nana was from Alberta, Canada and I saw many photos of her in her youth. You remind me of her! She was very beautiful and just a selfless person. Maybe we are related way back!! Thank you so very much for your videos and sincere example🌞

@@KetogenicWoman Thank you Anita! Yes Carolyn Ketchum’s recipes were soooo good for that short naive window of time! But also her non-desserts are great recipes- for instance I think I made her Shepherds Pie twice! And all my Thanksgiving recipes! I hope I can at least add back some of that someday. I really am better off without the sweet. I’m not convinced the PKD is perfect for me as they don’t want you to exercise at all and I have a small farm that is very high exercise!! I’m going to meet up with them again after my surgery to try and tweak the macros. It’s been a lot of juggling different opinions and listening to myself. My cancer is stable and I give all credit to the ketogenic way of eating. I just wanted to shrink it and haven’t had luck with that. Very grateful it’s stable and headed in for surgery in a couple weeks. I’m going to hope that perhaps we are related🙏🏽 My Nana’s name was Louise Helen Payne (that was her maiden name). You can make gelatin with Crystal Light Pure (it has stevia), gives you more flavor options. Tangerine Zinger tea also; even my sugar loving son will drink it plain. Sweetleaf stevia comes in lots of flavors, so you could have chocolate or root beer. It's still better than traditional dessert. Add some vanilla to the whipped cream. PS: if you eat more regular food you'll be too full for dessert 😊

I wish I had seen this before the holidays! I survived my first mostly meat Ketovore holiday season. The hardest part is the social/feelings aspect of all that food…as in, I know that bad stuff is made by people who love us and just want to share and don’t understand a thing about a proper human diet. I stuck with making myself some carnivore friendly dressing, one tiny spoon of broccoli casserole, a keto version of cranberry sauce, etc. A sweet friend of mine bought me some Choc Zero brand peppermint chocolates and I’ve portioned those out. She wanted me to have a Christmas goodie that I didn’t have to make myself. Very sweet. That type of thing does satisfy the sweet tooth without causing it to “rage” later like real sugar would but I have definitely noticed that it is easier to resist any sweet taste when you just don’t even start. The cravings fade away. I’m looking forward to the next holiday season when I will just request a second steak for dessert! ;) (Hmmmm, actually, maybe I’ll request a steak in place of a candle for my birthday this month? Share THAT with my grandkids in hopes of starting them down the path.)

I’ll keep trying to reach them, for sure. It’s hard not to talk about it constantly, the feeling better is so wonderful. I did get a little carnivore thrill late yesterday: our daughter in law told me that when she asked our youngest granddaughter if she wanted a sandwich for lunch she said “No, I want real food, MEAT!” She’s a very precocious almost four year old. She listens to everything her big siblings do, ands apparently she’s been listening to Grannie sometimes too! :)

If I add more gelatin, it gets rubbery like gummy bears. Much better with this ratio. Nice to make ahead before bed and leave overnight. Yes! Many people are! Gradually cut back. I am at the point now where my rule is that I can have one if I am eating out with friends at a restaurant. And sometimes I even just order a mineral water with lemon now, don't even care for the diet soda anymore but if I really wanted one I could.@@chsrlottetaylor5804

I went to your channel to watch your videos that you make to see how it is done properly, BUT you do not have any?????? Curious - Get brave so people can critique yours like you just did to Anita.I think Anita is awesome teaching all levels of carnivore and versions of to a variety of people, it is well thought out and organized.

I'm just afraid that this is like an alcoholic drinking alcohol-free beer. It's playing with fire even taking a taste. Next thing you know, you want the real thing.

For some people it could very be, so it helps to know if you are an abstainer or a moderator. I can do desserts that are not sweet but not everyone can.
