Was on wegovy for a year, lost 60 pounds, switched recently to Zepbound and lost another 10. I am the healthiest I’ve been in almost 2 decades. With my history of disordered eating, I would try so hard and work so hard and the scale wouldn’t budge, then I would spiral. Now, I eat what my body needs and wants and I don’t feel shame. I move more, I get lots of protein, and even my husband has lost 40 pounds just because I’ve been cooking differently and we are more active now that I have more energy! These are miracle drugs. Extreme life changers. For once, I’m not focused and obsessed with food and I can actually meet my goals. Keep shining your light, Jen! It’s great how you are true to yourself and don’t try to rage-bait or exploit your kids for content.. your blogs are the perfect mix of relateable & aspirational and I admire you! Thanks for sharing your journey!

Apology? You don’t know your viewers an apology. For me, getting a Jen video is a big ol’ treat- no matter when it comes. I watch two KZbinrs faithfully. You’re one of them. And get some Bio-Oil for the scars. It’s amazing! Got rid of my gallbladder scar. My mother took Tamoxifen for breast cancer. She tolerated it for almost the entire five post surgery years. Then she had to stop to stop because she suddenly couldn’t tolerate it.

I’m on Semaglutide and it has been a game changer for me. I lost 50 pounds so far in 6 months. I never had to worry abt my weight until the past 2 years and then I had sooo much trouble getting the weight off I had gained until Semaglutide! I actually just recently switched to Zepound because I was paying for the Semaglutide through a med spa for 250 a month but my insurance now pays for it and I only pay 3.00 a month. Good luck Jen!! @caroline - sounds like it worked for you congrats I want to start this but was concerned on the side effect I’ve read about & saw in your comments that it wasn’t without bumps but worth it… do you mind saying what was the bumps? Again I want to start but feel a little scared of it!!
@CarolineCalcote24 күн бұрын
@ I have type 2 diabetes and have been taking these types of drugs for about 5 years. The bumpy parts for me were periods of extreme nausea and gastrointestinal distress. Over the years I have taken Victoza, Trulicity, and now Mounjaro. They are not semaglutide but are similar enzyme receptor inhibitors. Each iteration has been better than the last for efficacy and less side effects. My sister, also type 2 diabetic, was not able to take semaglutide at all due to the extreme side effects. Definitely it does not affect everyone the same. For me, the struggles have definitely been worth it because for the first 50 years of my life I was a slave to food and miserable all the time because of it. Now I live like a normal, not chronically obese person. I eat intuitively and have a very good quality of life. My health markers are all great now. I spent a large part of my adult life over 250 pounds and through starvation lost 100 pounds multiple times. A lifetime of torture and misery.

Hi Jen!! I just found your channel. I had early stage breast cancer 2 years ago. I had a lumpectomy and radiation. They started me on tamoxifen and it threw me into menopause (I'm now 56). I was also on Wellbutrin at the time. I ended up weaning myself completely off the Wellbutrin. I tolerate tamoxifen all right I guess, but it was hard. I'm a full time prosecutor so I have a lot of work stress. I also have a KZbin channel where I do healthy lifestyle videos!! My channel has yet to take off but I started compounded Tirzepatide in August and have been documenting that on my channel so I'm hopeful it will grow!! I also had a breast cancer scare this summer (I thought it was back) and I found out it was benign the day before my daughter's wedding this September. The drama!! Anyway, even though we are in different stages of our lives, we seem to have a lot in common and I look forward to following you!!

Two videos in one day? Heck yeah! We're spoiled! 🙌 Also, thank you for bringing to light Semaglutide and its use for weight loss. There's so much stigma against it but as someone who also works in health care, it's really reassuring to see how there's options for people who need the extra help with diet and weight management. We're learning that weight and our hunger cues are so much more complex than what was thought before and if we can make our populace healthier with the help of a drug (on top of habit changes and education)? I say go for it! I love that you're using your own voice, knowledge, and experience to help show how this drug can be effectively used. On top of it all: drugs like Semaglutide are even being found out to be helpful to treat other habitual behaviors like gambling. The brain is a final frontier for a reason. 🧠 Finally: no apologies needed. Take care of yourself, first. Your mental and physical health come first. And the content you do put out is so high quality/fun/informative. All the best! 💪
