I actually prefer Fantasia’s to everyone else’s lol Cynthia is powerful of course, but she sounds way too young and pure imo, the character has been through a long and tough life, Fantasia shows that, and the “I’m Beautiful” statement at the end carries more weight and resonates more

Years ago when I was watching her on American idol and heard her sing in the auditions and throughout the competition, I was telling all my buddies that she has something special. They did not agree, and I think she finished like 4th or 6th in the competition. But then she got the role in the movie Dreamgirls and after her own singing career, And the rest is history.
