The person who created the video looped part of Selena's version of "...Fall in Love" over the Lopez tribute version..like when they do the posthumous duets. It was pretty well done, I think. As others have said, and Selena's family agreed, it was a good choice for Lopez to play the part of Selena. I remember reading a quote from Selena's father that seeing Lopez perform in the movie made him imagine his daughter was still here. And she is ... in her music.

Let' be honest here...Selena was about to blow the American market up with her new album but unfortunately never got the chance. Jennifer Lopez stepped in to play her part in the movie and it skyrocketed her career because of her uncanny resemblence. If Selena was alive today SHE would have been the one with the outstanding singing career. Jennifer probably would of stuck with acting. She even said herself in an interview that playing the part of Selena made her want to branch out and sing.

I always loved Selena, she was so gorgeous, this was a lukewarm rendition of the song. I've never been a huge JLo fan, especially her singing, with that said, I admire JLo for her hustle and her dancing. Selena was a natural talent, everything she accomplished was genuine, NEVER hustled or play the fool like JLo. It's 2014 and many people are still listening to Selena, her music will always stand the test of time.

Jlo would still have a career without making Selena but no doubt it made her even more famous. Selena had already won a grammy before her death and successfully crossed over into the mainstream with very few english only songs on her album she paved the way for JLo and Shakira to be taken seriously. Latinas we're not taken seriously until Selena came along. Long live the Queen of Tejano. If someone else protrayed Selena instead of JLo in the movie trust me people would still have fallen in love with Selena. It's nice Jlo gives tribute to Selena the only thing that bothered me is the interview she did with Jay Leno regarding Selena.
