Billie said to Finneas that she’d love to perform with backing vocalists to show all the adlibs she’s doing in original song. Finneas said it would be cool to have 3 artists who Billie admires. There are Rozzi, Eloise and Jane. You should react to the rest of live performances from Amazon songline (birds of a feather, l’amour de ma vie, skinny).

I think Billie knows what she’s doing & knows where to place the mic when she’s singing. I thought she was simply feeling the music and was careless with the microphone because she was so into the song/ performance. She is so good at what she does it’s mind blowing 🤯

One of her best acoustic sessions I have ever seen. Smazong. I love Eloise, I found her years back when Billie talked about Eloises EP This thing called living. Amazing to hear them together, finally.

At 10:50, I theorize that what she's doing when she's holding her microphone while singing up like that is to use the roof of her mouth to amplify and project her voice. She's probably pushing a lot of air out to get to her brassier chest voice. So she wouldn't want all of that breath to physically hit the microphone and change the sound. The roof of the mouth has that arched curve to it, so by pushing the air up into that curve - you can project it downwards towards the mic. Combine that with her tilting her head up slightly to naturally amplify her voice, and it's a killer combo. Using the roof of your mouth is a technique that I've learned as a Musical Theater vocalist! I believe that Freddie Mercury did that as well, though he usually tilted the mic up too - correct me if I'm wrong though! I certainly don't know everything! But that explanation would make a lot of sense. Her breathwork is amazing, she's such a healthy singer in general.

This live video appeared on my IG because of Rozzi (the background vocalist in red doing the call and response with Billie) I'm honestly not a huge Billie fan but this particular song just won't leave my mind. It's fantastic arranging and artistry. Lovely reaction, I always love your take on music 🙏🏾✌🏾.

The backup singer who was echoing Billlie's vocals (In red clothes) is Rozzi Crane, she's an insane vocalist whit so much soul in her voice... i recomend listen to her song 'Howd you learn to lie like that'

I think she holds the mic away like that cause her mic is always so hot. Like toward the end, holding it down at mid body and she was still quite loud.
