That's a great car! Love to see these in great shape and all stock (for the most part). This was my first car - My first car was a 1985 Regal. My Dad bought it new in May of 1985 and gave it to me when I was 19 in 1996. That had the 231 V6 so I am a little jealous you have the 305 with the 4 speed overdrive transmission. I had the 3 speed auto. Sadly I only had it for about a year when I was in an accident and it was easily totaled (at that time it had 130,000 miles). Now I'm looking for one just like it and yours - in black with a maroon deep red interior.

@@axlsnakedog I am 45 born in ‘77. Yeah those 1982-87 GM G-bodies were all great cars. Great looking, reliable, well built, rode great. The Grand Nationals and GNXs were really the hottest cars of the 80s. The ‘87 GNX was faster than the ‘87 Corvette and could hang with some 80s Ferraris. You may have heard in the news about 9 years ago of 3 women in Cleveland OH who were kidnapped and held for 10 years then found - one of them had inherited her Grandfather’s 1986 Monte Carlo SS and it was in bad shape. A Cleveland high school’s shop class restored it and souped it up for her, replacing the 305 with a GM Performance 350 and Turbo 400 trans for her.

Wow same color to! They were one of the nicest cars available in 85! One of the last full size rwd cars left when every other car was getting smaller and going to fwd! Very cool!

That is cool they are pretty rare here these days we have hard winters here and the salt on the roads just destroys them, only cars not driven in winter are preserved like that. Thank you for the comment and for watching we appreciate it alot!
