I believe a mature 7-6 and a 9 are a good match. After the 7-6 sows wild oats he/she can be very trustworthy. 7-8's often times are emotional sadists. 7's make great parents. They understand the commitment to children and so they are reluctant to become parents. However if they have children they give their all.

I think your videos are just fantastic! I'm a 7 and my husband a 9. "Making it work with 9s" has been one of the most helpful videos to me. You do something that hardly anyone else does. You remind us about the good things, the things to appreciate in each other along with the things to be aware of and work on. Thank you so much!

SO accurate. I'm only 1/3 of the way through the video, but so far, I would agree with the vast majority of your points. It's also been helpful, as a 7, to hear an outsiders perspective on the 'late arrival' habit and how it's perceived by others. Us 7's view punctuality very differently, so it's refreshing to hear another point of view. While we're on the subject: I love how you touch base on the negatives and not just the positives. These days I feel that most people are too scared of offending anyone to give honest insight anymore. So kudos to you!

Nice video but one correction: The 7 doesn't just 'say' they didn't see the chores that need to be done. The thought of doing something repetitive makes them want to literally blow their brains out. And YES, you SHOULD help the 7, if you have that in you, to do the repetitive tasks, because if you do they will LOVE you forever.
@SmellTheRoses6 жыл бұрын
OMG yes!!! Help the 7 out! Please! That would be my main correction on this video too. As a 7, I have so many things on my 'to do' list (yes I have one to keep me on track) because of all the adventures and shenanigans I plan, that a lot of times I forget to take care of basic needs. I always do the dishes and vacuum and do all the monotonous stuff when I can, but a lot of times, I'm so overwhelmed with daily hobbies or projects that I can't get to them. By the time I get home, sometimes I'm just exhausted and so I can't seem to get the basic things done....I even skip dinner a lot of times because I'm too tired and making dinner just creates more dishes. I literally have to schedule entire weekends where I just clean and organize otherwise I have a hard time keeping up. So if someone actually helps me out by doing some of these small things, it means THE WORLD to me!!!! Doing those little things for me helps make my life just that much easier and I usually return the gesture in my own little 7 way by taking you out on an awesome adventure or buying you dinner, etc. Acts of service is the way to my heart.....seriously!

YES! i 100% agree with this! as a 7, i fucking HATE doing seemingly “boring” activities. so if there’s someone who could do those with me, it’s SO much easier for me to make those activities fun. thus actually enjoying “boring” chores! and i will love you forever for turning something boring into something fun with me. as a contrast though, if i’m with someone who also hates and avoids chores; then they try to help and i try to make it fun and then they shove that fun out of the way bc “these are chores and they suck and they’re not supposed fun in any way” that honestly just makes it worse than doing it by yourself.

INFP 7w6. And schedules made by other people annoy me. I like gatherings where I can come or not, come late, and it wouldn’t really matter or hurt anyone’s feelings either way. Our mentality is that people should chill out and stop making a big deal out of things.

Sarah Jasmine M Maybe those are instances where the type 3 and 2 are more dominant. I’m a type 7 overall, but I know there are a few areas of my life and aspects of my personality which are controlled much more by the type 3 in my 7w3 personality. It sounds like for you, those are two areas where your 6 and 2 are a little more dominant even if you’re a 7 overall. And it sounds like it is serving you well! Those are traits you listed are fantastic personality characteristics to have! 😊

Wow, just discovered enneagram yesterday after finding a MB test for my cousin to take. Helping her to discover skills for retirement income. In any case. I'm a 7 of course and lots of this is about me... but I'm also a Cancer Sun/Scorpio Moon/Libra Rising, so I"m actually a bit more considerate of others' feelings. But, I cannot commit to a boring relationship and 99.9% of my relationships ended because the men said they could not trust me. I have never cheated, but having lots of male platonic friends made my relationship men feel that I was cheating. But, thanks.... this video was so ON POINT.

I’m trying to figure out whether or not I’m 7 but based on this video I don’t want to be one. Why focus on all the potential negative traits of a type?
@emilielehmann7053 жыл бұрын
Sorry but this is such a type 7 answer! “Why focus on the bad things?” is how type 7 is typically described. I think it is important to remember that the video is about dealing with a type 7, so it’s only natural to focus on the bad stuff. She also said a lot of nice things! I’m a type 7 and I can recognize many of the thought processes in the video but that does not mean I follow all these “bad” patterns. When I discover I’m following a stress pattern I can choose to act differently. The Enneagram is a way to understand yourself not define and limit 😊

I don't know as an 8, you say there is a match between 7 and 8. Well as an 8 i got REALLY attracted to a 7. but soon enough, he "left me behind to do his stuff" as you say, things started to go bad. And him and I have this taste for adrenaline rush, so we started kindof taunted each other a little bit but. The way he has to avoid responsibility, accept sacrifice from me but can't return the favor, can never say thank you, can never say sry, can't accept to agnoledge that he hurt me, and trying to avoid conversations when I try to talk (by putting responsability on me and making me feel guilty) makes me think that its kindof hard for an 8 to be with a seven, at least from this experience I had. but thanks for video, very interesting !
