I also have oily skin and less oily during this season too. And this foundation works very good on me! Not sure if can last the 30 hours 🙄 but looks so natural that fades really smoothly, so you really can't notice if disappears before you clean your face!

I was hoping you’d do this one sooner rather than later! I saw it about a week ago at my Walmart and was intrigued so I bought it and love it! But for me with my more mature menopausal skin it wears best with a moisturizing primer to keep it from looking dry later on in the day -this very low humidity during freezing weather I’m thinking. But it’s a beautiful foundation definitely high end vibes!

Hi Jen, thanks for the video! You can try mixing moisturizer with this foundation to make it less drying, but I don't think it will work because the 4th ingredient is alcohol. And that's pretty high in the ingredients list and means there's a lot of alcohol in the product. I suspect this product will be a problem for anyone with dry skin.

Yes I didn't realize that at first...I normally don't like foundations with a lot of alcohol in the formula. But surprisingly this one didn't look as dry as some of them do.

This one is really similar but is thinner and less creamy. It has almost the same finish though...very skin-like and satin. The elf one probably has a little bit more moisture to it, but not much.

Thank you for reviewing how the foundation lasted through the day. I feel that is the real test to see how it wears as that often distinguishes between a high end formula and a cheaper one. All said, for my skin the Double Wear option is a safe bet!

Oh nice! I saw @LauraFagelman review this foundation & it looked great & lasted. The blush on you is beautiful. On a side note, I struggle w/ a textured chin too. About once or twice a week, I started to apply 2 layers of the ordinary's glycolic toner or the ordinary's lactic acid all over my face then I add about 2-3 extra layers just on my chin only, followed by moisturizer. Sometimes I'll add extra layers to my nose too if it's being troublesome. The texture has improved & is almost completely gone. The other nights, I just use my regular retinal or sleep serum w/ moisturizer. I appreciate you being here for us !

I LOVE The Ordinary's Lactic Acid. I've been using it for years, and my skin is very smooth, even at 62! Along with my retinal and niacinamide, my skin stays exfoliated!

Hi Lena! I use lactic acid too! The Ordinary's glycolic toner stings my face so I just use it on my body. But for some reason the texture on my chin isn't just flaky skin, it's bumpy almost like an orange peel and nothing has ever helped it.

I have been using this for the last 4 days. It is nice. Reminds me of how the dewy wet and wild foundation wears on me, thicker and no fragrant. It looks pretty at the end of the day. I have normal to dry skin. Worth a try.

Jen, I am SO happy to see you reviewing this! I just bought a bottle yesterday and was wishing I had a review from you because I know I can trust it to be an honest review. I tried it this morning using a brush, and I didn't care for it at all. I agree that your skin needs to be exfoliated. I have combo skin and I did see a tiny bit of accumulation on the dry areas. I'll try it with the sponge tomorrow. Thanks again!

I can definitely see it being a little heavier with a brush, but the sponge seemed to help it to look not as dry. :)

I think I'm discovering that I need to try the Elf Soft Glam and matte just isn't for me. Your videos are so valuable to those of us trying to figure out what works for us. You are such a gem. I just got the lumi matte foundation, too and I love it. I have desert dry skin but this looks really good even after a full day’s wear. I still have to test it on an office day as my skin always dry out completely during a day in the office but that’s a problem with all foundations.

I LOVE discovering a quality foundation at a reasonable price. My most used products are foundation, setting sprays and mascara. I will be giving this one a try thanks to your review. Thank you for trying this for us. I got it recently too and really enjoyed it. For context, I’m combo oily and over 40… I did prep my skin well, hydrated, and hydrating vit c as primer. Very pore smoothing but not too drying, but if have dry skin, it would be a try it and see with caution I think. Got a full work day out of it with a light powder, no setting spray. Very skin like and feels sooo light and not cakey. Some separating around chin and nose after about 10hrs in a hot Australian climate. But not too bad. Shade range a bit disappointing, I’m a mix of two. Some shades that read “cool neutral” can me tending towards a bit pinky peachy warm, so be mindful you might need to play with shades a bit. But I love how light this feels on the skin. Just prep and exfoliate well and I think can be great for most skin types, but better for combo or oily.

Thanks for the video - that foundation looks really nice! I dont wear much foundation but id like to start getting more comfortable with it. Did you see Smitha's pallete with Ofra? I didn't know if you were interested in it at all? It looks really, really basic but it also looks really versatile. And i really like the lip color that is also part of the collab. It's not overly drying but it's not hydrating either, so if you're very dry make sure you're moisturized first. :)

The only drugstore foundations that don’t ever accentuate my dry patches are the Rimmel lasting finish, Maybelline Fit Me and the Neutrogena hydroboost tint. Those dry flakes are a real stinker😞
